It's time to throw something different!
The recent rains have not only cooled off the water temperatures here in Iowa but also forced a large population of fish shallow; GAME ON!
In this video I ventured to a local public lake here in Iowa. I was greeted to rain in the morning followed by sun in the afternoon and water temperatures around 75-77 degrees. The lower end of the lake was much clearer than the north end, and the bass seemed to love this in the shallow waters. With the increased water clarity, a fast moving swim jig was the trick to catching these aggressive fish.
Watch as I catch a boat load of bass on this early August day!
