Yes!! I'm even more paranoid because I'm deaf in one ear, so I keep wondering if I'm just genuinely losing track of them or if they are cheating, but in more than one occasion some survivors will simply vanish out of thin air without any good explanation (lockers, vaults, corner tech, etc). I've noticed as well that some survivors are also getting healed "instantly"(e.g. few seconds after being hurt and in chase).. It really seems that the subtle cheating problem is really big right now.

just happened to me in valorant recently, i lost my rank up game to radiant and was doing terrible, i was 0-11 against their jett as a raze, and i apologized to my stack and took a three day break to get my head right. i come back from the break and sure enough i get a message saying my report went thru and their jett had been banned for cheating. i didnt even think she was cheating i just reported her cause i was salty. i felt so bad for throwing my teams elo on two of our games to radiant and it turns out it wasnt even my fault 😭

The thing about that is - there's a cheat that allows you to have ALL perks active, which is why she had Boil Over effect despite not having the perk equipped. Having said that, she then likely had botany knowledge and all other perks that improve healing speed (the one that lets you heal faster when others are injured, etc.). The heal speed is almost certainly just a benefit of having all the perks activated. Not any less of a cheater, but not necessarily a "click to heal" type cheat. This same thing explains all the lack of scratch marks and sounds - parental guidance, iron will, self-aware, etc. all active at once. Oh, and probably both her and Quentin running the cheat = 2x vigil, hence running head on AND dead hard.

yea that was what i noticed. she mended at a normal speed and finished mending when quentin when down then spooky picks up quentin she trying to flashlight and teleports to the tile where we know no boon is at then when he is hooked shes full healed. so she somehow tried to flashlight then was in a corner with no boon and healed within 5 seconds

@@sunraen no perk makes you 20% faster and there were no haste perks except BT. There also is no viable reason for a 6 second heal as there aren't any other survivors in the area. Quentin gets injured, continues to be chased and then heals 6 seconds after leafing line of sight for the first time.

Quentin is also cheater for 2 reasons: 1. The first time you chased him around that rock he disappeared when you caught up and then reappeared when you fully went around. 2. When him and nea were near shack and you hit him, he went and healed extremely fast.

Subtle cheaters are definitely worse than blatant cheaters. I’ve had games where I question if the killer has wall hacks or just extreme game sense because they didn’t have aura reading perks, or if a survivor really managed to hide that well and get the flashlight save even though no one was nowhere close

I was a Survivor 1 game where i think another surv was cheating bc when i was on a gen with them, it just went to quick i remember thinking it went to fast, around 35 seconds but didn't say anything bc i don't know all the perks.

You shouldn't be able to track someone across the map off their bloodstains alone. That's suspicious 100%, either that or you simply spend way to much time on DBD and would probably benefit from some sunshine on your skin.

@@steven_maddog_OG I'd rather a cheater here and there than be capped on framerate - capped on what I can do simultaneously while playing - Xbox party chat has a whole ass 1-2 second delay - Lose access to a ton of indie games that will never reach console - Not be able to play the PTB or any other game beta - Meanwhile all console has to offer "some games don't have cheaters, but the ones that force crossplay... yeahhh you'll have to still put up with it" Yeah until the console gets JTagged homie then even the ones that don't force crossplay will have hackers.. Then I'm just playing on a worse system with no exclusives because they're all on PC.

Prediction: I didn’t notice anything about Quinton except that he healed when Nea tried to head on stun you but I was thinking of Nea’s perks and if I’m remembering correctly, she had boil over when she got downed the first time. She doesn’t have boil over on the end game screen. Other than that I have no idea Edit: at 13:00, if Nea some how went into a locker, not only would you hear her, but also her deep wound bar would be depleting because she’s not sprinting nor mending

One more thing to point out aswell is: Neas flashlight blinds WAY to quickly for being a yellow one with no add ons and the beam is a lot longer too Edit: For people who don't play DBD too often, Yes it was an event flashlight but Event flashlights are always yellow ones, they just look pretty

Ok serious question: I know there is a huge cheater problem. It is very obvious when following content creators. But that's the point. I feel like the community is now super paranoid and scared of cheaters, but cheaters are targeting almost exclusively content creators/streamers, no? Maybe I'm just lucky, but I encounter a cheater in my own games maybe twice a month. Right now everyone but me seems to have cheaters in every other game. Are you guys exaggerating, speaking for the streamers or am I actually just that lucky? Yes, there is an increase of cheaters, even in my games. And it happens far more often when I play killer, but it's still so rare. When I took the survey the other day and the question how often I have cheaters came up, I had to go for "almost never"... It obviously still ruins the game, even if it barely happens and it obviously does happen so much more for people like Spooky or Otz etc. But casual players start jumping onto that "I'm not playing anymore, because every match has cheaters" train, and I am wondering: really, though?

Ok literally this is a content creator issue, who have their names on a list. Non-streamers deal with this stuff rarely if at all, at this point it's just an excuse to hop on the "I hate dbd because x" sob train. You aren't a known streamer. You also aren't special. Subtle cheaters/snipers are not out to get you... find a different reason to complain cuz this ain't it.

My friend and I have only been playing this game a little over a month and have had like 5 games of obvious cheaters between us and like 3-4 incidents of extremely suspicious moments like 3 gens finishing at the same time when only one person could've been on one at the time.

@@PichDextro i only recently started playing after a bugger break of dbd. In lower ranks i haven’t encountered one as far as i know. But i had a few games when i was higher rank that i ran into cheaters. It doesn’t happen as often as that it would ruin the game for me. There have been some people where i just was sure if they were cheating or not. I have never been held as a hostage. It its worse for streamers than for others as far as i know

Besides the beforementioned things, it was kind of weird how a bunch of things happened in 30 seconds after the third hook; two gens, a boon, a save, full heals and you couldn't find anyone even though you were in the area (no scratchmarks, sounds, anything). In the last two chases with both Quentin and Nea they healed way too fast and he was running faster than you before he got downed, it could easily be that it's just Nea cheating but then again they seemed to be playing together.

I find it so interesting that different ppl playing the same game can hv such completely different experiences. I'm not doubtful/ surprised that Spooky has encountered so many cheaters on DBD, but I've also watched other streamers play DBD regularly & rarely encounter any cheaters (at least not noticeable ones).

Ever since the cheaters on stream gotten more and more i kept my eye open (even on survivor side) and found three so far (in idk like 30 games). One guy played the entire game normal but moved ultra fast just for a second to get to my unhook. As killer i had just as you a guy with Boil Over thats wasnt in the endscreen and i had someone who had all boons activated while not having a single boon perk in the endscreen (the entire team had no boons).

They really need a playback feature when a match ends where you can see the point of view of each survivor/killer. Such a simple solution to see if someone cheated in your game or not. Or you know, better server checks so it's knows if someone healed themselves in 2 seconds or is using a perk they don't have.

I've noticed this as well. I lose survivors way more often when playing killer. It's insane how I'm chasing and then all of a sudden, they are gone. Even with bloodlust 3, sometimes I can't catch up to them

The disappearing of the Nea's scratch marks could have been the perk Poised. If she had Boil Over without having the perk equipped, she easily could have had Poised as well. A generator was completed shortly after she blinded you, so that could have triggered a cheated-in Poised.

Hmm something interesting i found in this video is that Nea hide her bloodstain well...pretty sure any injured survivor leaves atleast few of those before dissapearing but her scratch mark and bloodstain is gone so...thats one thing good to remember

I’ve only had one cheater while playing DBD, who kept removing my Ghostface mark from himself. I couldn’t tell if anything else was sus, but every single time I marked him, he would lose it as I got close. After figuring out that i was using Drop Leg add on, he literally began removing it instantly.

I play killer more often in dbd, and it is frustrating sometimes. I don't mind being outplayed as it is a game after-all. However, when I have to sit there and try to figure out if I am just playing really badly or if the one or more of the survivors might be cheating it can ruin the experience. Nea probably set off the anti cheat system. That’s why she got “disconnected”. I know come across my fair share of cheaters. The most recent one was a survivor that was able to run around a car, pallet duo. And always keep a great distance from me without even needing to use the pallet. I thought if I just kept running in one direction. That id eventually catch up. But I chased her in one direction for literally all five generators. She was so fast I couldn’t even hit her once. Cheaters suck. And don’t deserve to play games at all.

During the game, it showed Nea had boil over and in the end results screen, it showed she didn’t have it, quentin looked a little fast (could be my eyes tricking me) and he easily predicted on what you were doing around looping certain tiles (either wall hacks or just did a good job at your reads) Edited: didn’t even notice the insta heal on the quentin after abandoning the chase with him, wow.

Subtle cheaters are the worst. I played a game where I kept getting flashlight blinded from behind SUPER quickly, chased the person I thought was cheating and tried to just camp them out of the game. AS SOON as they noticed I was doing this they immediately got themselves off hook first try and ran. Then in the endgame screen when I mentioned this her and her friend started calling me salty for saying they had cheats. The cheater had anonymous mode too so I couldn’t check their hours or block their profile.

I definitely noticed how fast Quentin healed but I didn't expect Nea until I saw the end. I guess the one benefit on playing on console is that we don't see this very often.

I’m a main surv and I totally understand, I’ve played against some weird killers in the past, walking fast when carrying someone and at the end didn’t have agitation, going straight to someone hiding and didn’t have bbq, this type of things make you crazy cuz could be us being wrong but if has subtle survs, it must be subtle killers

My guess? Nea and Quentin both. The nea’s flashlight blind at 6:15 was far too fast for a flashlight without adding, and Quentin heals after an unhook near immediately. Quentin also seemed to be moving faster.

Did anyone else notice the Quentin got rid of his infection without any kind of notification (from 4:25 to 4:30) to Spooky? That's why I thought it was Quentin hacking and helping the Nea but spooky makes more sense.

got my first noticeable cheater as killer the other day. it was a myers zooming accross the map at a crazy speed, not even in tier 3... ended up having a ban on his profile.

I’ve had few games recently where I’ll be chasing someone and pass by a gen with little to no progress, and down the person soon after then the gen is just done. With no way it could have been done that quick when it was literally just passed by with no kind of progress on it.

when i was doing the rpd escape challenge by solo, i was asking randoms to help me and gen rush. in 2 separate games out of 5, survs said "yeah we will gen rush, ok, gens will be done in 1 minute". and they werent lying after all, in both cases it was a cheater who teleported to every gen in a row and done them all by tapping. so there are tons of cheaters in the game who arent using cheats all the time...

tbh I think subtle cheaters are going rampant. There are so many games I start questioning things, about other survivors or about killers. Like them catching up to me a bit too fast and downing me when I know I will reach the pallet. Killers seemingly having full aura tracking perks without having any aura tracking perks. Et cetra et cetra. Of course I mostly notice it on killer side since I play survivor main but I also notice it a bit on survivor side. Lurking with a flashlight and seeing that survivor that should have gone down but still somehow manages to reach the pallet. Them instantly healing not knowing I am lurking et cetra.

If ever a survivor randomly dissapears like that, I look up in the sky, i''ve caught 2 cheaters and got them both banned by doing this and seeing them in the sky when otherwise they were really subtle, slightly faster gens, movement speed, perfect 50/50 reads ect. My theory on why the Nea DC'd. She noticed the Twitch hook charm and insta DC'd at that point.

That happened to me last night. Super boil over. More than I've ever seen, and they weren't even using boil over. The two were also able to wiggle when there's no way they had enough time to wiggle. Deadly Dredge build had them shook. 1 managed to get hatch.

I don't know how it was 9 months ago, but now there is a bug with the task. Where they give random perks. Sometimes the game starts with its own perks, but at the end it shows random ones. But it looks really suspicious.

Besides that you covered 2 names (which made it easy), I noticed that Quentin had auto DH at 6:42 and Nea had Boil Over in game at 3:34 , but not equipped as seen in the match result screen. Also Nea seemed to have vanished completely after she got unhooked. No unhooker, no scratchmarks, no nothing.

Something to point out on the nea too. No batteries on the flashlight. Yet at beginning of game she was holding down the beam multiple times, and multiple times at pallets. No way the flashlight should have lasted as long as it did.

I remember running into my very first cheater, I was still playing and I had no idea about anything. They had a very very powerful boil over, so much so I only swayed side to side and could not keep walking forward. Because of this, they would struggle out each and everytime I tried to hook them, it was very frustrating and I thought I was the problem. Everytime they flash-lighted me, it would last forever and I'd be standing there immobilized while gens were flying because I couldn't see. I never questioned the possibility of cheating, as DBD seemed like a game that really didn't have that issue and because of how "polished" the game seemed for that kind of thing. But after watching a few of your videos and seeing the things cheaters are capable of, only recently did I realize they were cheating and none of the match that happened because of that player was my fault or was it me who was playing bad. It was just a cheater.

Probably had every perk including the yoichi one where scratch marks and grunts of pain are gone for 10 seconds after a stun. But her and Quentin and were definitely a 2man SWF witch cheats. Probably also have vigil or like instant unexhaust cheats.

Seeing it happen at all levels has pretty much sucked the fun out of "having a nice gaming session". If it were a few years ago I'd probably take the approach "challenge accepted" to try hard against the cheaters but limited game time just doesn't leave room for this type of shenanigans anymore. Always been a great game with some ups and downs but hopefully BHVR really steps it up to weed out this type of stuff from the game.

I agree that subtle cheaters are the worst because they do make you question your sanity. I don't like to throw accusations around and try to self-reflect as much as possible, often I'm just not sure if it's some weird perk combo I'm not thinking of... but then there are those times where things seem to defy logic and make you question reality.

I ran into something similar recently, i was playing Legion and there were 2 survivors who were able to outpace me when I was chasing them, they didnt have sprintburst in their perks amd no perks to give them any other speed boosts, their perks were stuff like self care, iron will, unbreakable. But they kept outpacing me, they didnt outpace feral frenzy but when they were hoing straight, they were faster than i was in regular chase.

Quentin and Nea. They kept playing together, baiting for the head on, Nea had ninja boil over, Quentin somehow insta healed himself while teammates were doing gens, and they seemed kinda sus while getting chased, either they lost their scratch marks, or something, can't really tell. Also, both of them having their names shadowed was pretty sus :D.

I think that it was Otz that pointed it out but I think that the biggest issue with subtle hackers is the wide variance that exists in the current meta for actions to be completed. Spooky noted that Quintin healed in 7 seconds and before 6.1 we could have said without a doubt something was up however there are so many things that could account for that now. We know for a fact that it's not the case because we have seen the scoreboard but Reactive Healing could have accounted for the fast heal since he hit Nea it would have put him at 50% healed already, and then either the boon and/or another survivor could have finished it off. It's the same issue with generators, with Hyperfocus or BNP generators can be completed faster than ever. The 10 extra seconds they added on to generators is completely negated by how many speed up perks there are, how easy it is to bring a powerful toolbox each game with the reworked blood web, and even though hemorrhage has been buffed to have some sort of use when they have to spend so little time to heal it's only real use is against self care and boon self care. Another big issue with the strength of healing right now is that two of the biggest counter plays to it is Coulrophobia and Sloppy Butcher which if you're not a basic attack killer then it's really in convenient to try to use Sloppy and Coulrophobia is unreliable at best and detrimental at worst. Coulrophobia incentivizes you to keep as many people in your terror radius as possible but with the Stake Out/Hyperfocus meta all you're doing is feeding their gen rushing/heal rushing perks

Same thing happened to me yesterday. You could tell 3 of them were survivor friends and each had their own....unique...cheats. The subtle 2-5% speed increase is maddening. The constant Spring Burst trigger is also something I've seen. A guy was like "its called looping"...no dude, if I cant gain on you across open ground multiple times, theres only one explanation. This also had instant healers that brought in 0 med kits and I used the entity token for removing chests. Not a single person was running totem.

i seen that in a few of my games as well. i would not be running prove and be on gens by myself and have prove active. also seen where i have prove on my build but be on a gen and it activate with noone around me, which shouldnt happen since it is only active when your around someone.

What's wild about this is that, like you've said, if it wasn't for the Boil Over there'd just be suspicion. Maybe she just moved well/oddly. Maybe there were scratch mark bugs. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. If it wasn't for one CLEAR CUT thing it could all just be a little sus - but nothing concrete. These subtle cheaters are the definite worst.

I've been getting more cheaters lately. I had 2 cheaters in 2 matches yesterday. One was so obvious there was no question, the other was more subtle, in the beginning. He was fast, but could outrun me, so it looked like someone who actually knew how to loop. But then I started noticing survivors screaming even though there's nothing that would make them do it, just so I would go that way. Then I saw a gen I just kicked starting to fix itself. He got up from dying state twice. I couldn't move forward while I was holding him and his struggles were ridiculously strong. Both also ended the session as soon as the match was done so no discussion was possible.
