you can pick pepinos when they have a stripes and a purple blush.. unripe pepinos will last a couple of months in the fridge and will ripen over time.

Chilled in the fridge on a sunny day, this fruit is great for that. Needs to ripen on the bush for full flavor. It grows from Ecuador to Chile, so not sure if it´s subtropical, Chile has mediterranean climate. Growing from seed is difficult and results vary greatly, it´s better and much easier to grow from cutting from a known variety.

Hi! Thank you for the video, really nice. Question, I am having a big plant, full of leaves and flowers but no fruits, any suggestions or advice? Thank you :)

Sprinkle some wood ash around the bush. It should help to develop the fruit :)

Food Forest Cookery I have an idea for I love the outer Skin ! Zigzag all around the middle of the Pepino to create 2 Crowns 😀 filled with your beautifull softfruits drizzled with Passion fruit or parisienne scoop balls of the flesh mix with your softfruits and pile back into the Crowns drizzled with passion fruit 💖 x

This fruit grows easily, and the plant yields a heavy crop. But they taste sad. That is why you just don't see them for sale in the supermarket. You can grow other things that have better taste.

I think that the ripe ones are quite nice but yes, there are some better tasting fruits you can grow :D

That fruit is not completely ripe. It could stay on the bush another week as long as you don't have fruit fly.
