Love phlox for its midsummer blooms. I used to have some in my previous garden but don’t have any in my current garden. Thanks for the kind reminder….I may find some to plant in my garden. However, these are not going on clearance for us in Canada 🇨🇦. It’s amazing how you got them on clearance in your area already. I also have a few of the POW Wow coneflowers too….but a perennial for $2?????? That’s truly awesome!

I could hardly believe it! We have a ton of nurseries here in Michigan Tracy, so I think I am pretty darn lucky. So many phlox also have a wonderful fragrance which you don't get with tooamy flowers anymore. ☺🌿🌸🌼

I LOVE clearence hauls. I have just bought 4 different sickly looking roses. Pruned and sprayed and fertilized them... and today tiny buds showed on two of them 😃

Love your videos Soleil, I find them so relatable . I am moving to a new home with a yard about the same size as yours, but it is all lawn and gravel. I will be starting the garden from scratch, and I can’t wait to get stuck into it. Like you, I’ll be keeping an eye out for really good discount plants. Well done on you haul today. They are all lovely.🌿

Soleil, you are one very lucky lady to find such wonderful plant bargains! I'm totally impressed with your clearance plant hauls! It's been a long time since I've found a great deal or a clearance on plants that I want in my garden. Like you, I also love the smell of geraniums! If you plant them directly into the ground they get huge over the summer, especially the zonal geraniums. Do you dig your geraniums up in the fall and stored them bare-root over the winter? If not, have you ever done it? I've stored mine from year to year this way for years, and it works like a charm. ~Margie

I think I need a second job. Flats are down to 9.99 here from 19.99 of annuals. Like you said we could have the annuals mid October in pgh pa, almost three months that’s plenty of growing time.🤨. I am on a zinnia kick this year so thats what i settled on ! Thanks for sharing!

Great organization at the end with plant and tags...I am definitely looking into summer sales. Question, u planted hostas recently would you advise one to buy bare root hostas online?
@Suburbanoasis3 жыл бұрын
If you are looking for a certain hista or want to save money, buying bare root can work well. If your mail is on track, that is important to so they don't get too delayed. But hostas are pretty tough plants! 😊🌿💮🪴

This isn't really about your plant haul but I'm so impressed with your liatris. I just acquired a couple of clumps and I was wondering if you recommend that I cut off the bloom stocks now (they're half bloomed out) or is it okay to leave them. I'm in Maryland zone 7 and they're really only going to get about 5 hours of mid-day sun. On another note "great plant haul." I recently bought some Phlox and coneflower but my deer pressure has been off the charts for 2 weeks and they decimated my daylilies😭. I hope I can keep them away from my new plants. (I use liquid fence and for 2 weeks it did nothing)
@Suburbanoasis3 жыл бұрын
😪🥴First I will mourn the loss of your daylilies..... now, the liatris, keep the blooms they are tough plants. The only exceptipn to this is if you are experiencing high heat and drought, then clip em 🙂🏵🌷🪴
@chrisolson17553 жыл бұрын
Soleil everything looks gorgeous!!! I have a question: can you divide the liatris in the spring? Do they bush out a lot? I absolutely love them thanks to you and I bought three plants so I’m wondering if I’ll get more next year. Thank you so much 🌷🌷🌷
@Suburbanoasis3 жыл бұрын
I usually will split chunks off of mine every year and they fill back out. Even if they are fairly small this fall, you may want to take a shovel or heavy duty knife to split them in the fall as they will then each bush out in the spring. 😉 🪴💮
@chrisolson17553 жыл бұрын
Suburban oasis Thank you so much. I will be sure to do that. By the way you’re describing it, I am assuming that you were divided like you would divide daylilies?
@Suburbanoasis3 жыл бұрын
They grow from hard corms so they may even seem a bit tougher, so chop them in half with something sharp.🗡🌷👍

Can you grow coneflowers from saved seed? I have white and I want more!
@Suburbanoasis3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! They have the possibility of coming out a different color and they can also be divided just like hostas if you want to ensure it is the same. 🙂🍁🌷🌼
