Suburbia Collector's Edition: How to Pack the Box

Since the official video was rather lacking, I thought I'd make one that goes into more detail and isn't shot vertically. P.S. - The extra square space in the player pieces section is for 5x of the $1 coins so instead of 3x of the $5 coins you can start with 2x $5 coins and 5x $1 coins.

I'm sure you would've figured it out. I got most of it just from looking at the symbols in each slot of each tray. The only thing that really puzzled me was what to do with all those long thin slots in the player setup tray, but I guess they don't serve any purpose.

Very helpful video. I did get tripped up with the tie and star icons. So if anyone else punches it all then watches this video. Sort the star icons and tie seperate so you can follow along without starting over again. I wonder why these don't have the tie and star in the backs.

Thanks for the helpful video! If you put the stars as the second layer everything stays flat. For anyone with the extra boards they can fit on top of the plastic trays and you can use the foam strip to keep them in place. imgur.com/a/a2WKL5Q

thanks for this info, I just received my box today and was a bit overwhelmed by all the components! I found it interesting that the supplemental expansions were on top of the base components. Do you find that this is a concern when playing just the base game?

I haven't played my copy yet, but I can't imagine this would be, since everything just pops right out in one big piece. I agree that it would've made more sense to put the base game stuff on the top though.

Did you get this through Kickstarter? I got mine as a gift that was purchased on Amazon. All sealed up but missing the coins and wooden pieces. As well as some tiles.

So, I loved this. I just found out my collector’s edition doesn’t come with all the little skyscraper and building meeples. Is that going to be a problem? I was gifted this game.

Nah. It doesn't even list those on the "contents" page of the manuals. From my experience with the base game, those are just little reminder meeples that a player has x amount of those kinds of tiles. Same as the other meeples like the airports, dining, etc. You can still just look at the other players to see what they have.

The box has a matte finish in general, with just shiny lettering.
