@볼빨간화공과 Give the world universal health care, a codified set of laws that saw all men and women as equals under Tengri and punished all equally according to their crime, with no exceptions due to their social class. From the Great Khan to the lowest peasant all were subject to Mongol Law. Promoted education, enforced religious tolerance and eradicated religious wars in their domains. Encouraged and protected the greatest flourishing of trade, philosophical, scientific and religious exchanges in history ushering in a Golden Age. A nubile virgin, naked and wearing gold and gems could walk from one end of the Pax Mongolica to the other unaccosted. That is a level of law enforcement not seen again until the modern age. Hell, we still haven't achieved that now.

@@manicmuffin That is also true. For my people, it was also a time of peace and prosperity. No Chinese fleets showing up every year to raid us for slaves, demand tribute and our submission to the emperor. The Mongols when they sailed past greeted us as equals and offered fair trade for our goods. They also eliminated the various pirates that plagued the ocean around the Philippines. From the Japanese and Chinese to the north and the various warring Sultanates to the south. For us it was a time of peace, scientific and cultural trade. Apart from the short-lived invasion of Song refugees and their conquest of Western Luzon. The Eastern Song lasted barely 50 years before Mongol raids and tribal uprisings erased them from the map.

I have always had so much respect for Chingaas Khaan. My DNA has a big chunk of East Asian and Mongolian. My mom and I hope so bad that Chingaas Khaan is grandpa. He was the most amazing man. He promoted his generals based on merit, not lineage, he created a cross-continent communication system, he was tolerant of other religions, while he was the leader, there was safety on the Steppes. He took a ragtag bunch of Steppe people that had never played well together and transformed them into the greatest army that conquered more land making them the greatest empire in history. He was brutal, some say evil. I disagree. He was fair to those who were loyal. He also has more traceable descendants than anyone who ever lived. I love you grandpa.

Aniq Iman Yeah, it was still the largest contiguous empire in history. I think it also had some crazy proportion of the human population under its sway as well. The main argument you could make is that their control over much of the realm was relatively tenuous and decentralized. Much more than say, the Roman, British, or Spanish empires which had considerably more direct control and didn’t rely as much on native administrators.

Even though I'm not Mongolian, this makes me proud of my Germanic and Viking blood as our ancient warrior culture is very similar to our Slavic, Hunnic and Mongol cousins from the east. We all come from the same origin point and its absurd that because we look different we are quick to be racist and discriminate based on that alone. We all had throat singing, we all prayed to gods to give us strength in battle and we all fought evil empires to our dying breath. For that I am proud

It’s crazy how good they sound from here with no sound help to their music that’s record. There is no difference. You watch the singers now and they sound like shit without mics that have the tone assistance or whatever else they need to sound good.

You daft or something? The Mongols invaded China

China is planning to pull a Tibetan/Uyghur style ethnic cleansing on Mongolia. I think the Hu are saying “NO” in their own way with these songs. Never mind the South China Sea, the wolf totem on the sea of grass may spell the end for this phase of Han supremacist flexing.

@@gonkong5638 Times change and so do morality codes. New laws do not apply to old times - But they sure do apply to the present and future.

The guys are really good - I watched an interview. VERY humble and humorous. They have had a very long musical education in classical music from their country, even if you think: I can do that too ...

How strange, how strange Hey, you traitor! Kneel down! Hey, Prophecies be declared!
