Yeah all that stuff is gypsum in white latex paint.. You can get regular Wall paint and powdered drywall mud, and just roll it on. Be way cheaper but maybe not as convenient 🤔.. Doing a great job with the videos and lots of respect for the work ethic

The wood is going to look different when you painted 2 different kinds of wood mdf and the other looks to be birch !!!!
