Subby has consistent damage. He is just does not have a lot of safe ways to transition into that damage without external resources. Like in your fight against the Ermac you yelled about his step back. That only goes to show that it is a useful move because it allows him to pressure you safely. A lot of Ermac's launchers are safe where subby's aren't. The damage you are "capable" of means very very little if you are in a realistic situation never gonna be able to hit those combos. (Yes I am exaggerating when I say never, and before someone calls me a hater I am a Sub-Zero main and know the struggle. I am only providing more info here for people who may see this video and wish to know the full info.)

You lose every projectile battle with your ice ball, your encourage to never use deadly vapors unless u dont hv a kameo to start a combo cuz it drastically weakens ur combo damage. He does hv meh dmg but there are ways to mitigate that problem. I never understood why ppl rate him very low but he is pretty decent to me he's a mid tier character

Sub zero is a neutral monster with defense specials and the best down 1 in the game imo his scaling and damage is the problem because most ofther characters has the same tools jus better damage scaling , plus making a sub zero isn’t bad cideo and not fully learning the the character kinda discredits your take

Coming from someone who mains scorpion but uses sub zero from time to time in ranked mk1 games/kasuals this is completely false. Sub zero in the beta before the game ever dropped was doing a good solid 42% to 45% with sareena and frost when you used two kameo bars. Once the damage got nerfed he only does at least 35 to 40% dmg which isn't helpful at all because he scales with his limits to not apply enough damage to close out games or rounds effectively. If sub zero wasn't nerfed at all and he was doing the same amount of late game damage scaling like other characters like lui kang, kung lao, li mei or etc then he would be insanely huge of a threat if he had his legacy movesets to be a threat. Sadly NRS wants to make it harder for sub players to win and it's much more difficult to scale damage on your own when you have to waste a bar and be careful of your kameo meter to not scale enough damage to close out games. Sub is very bad but fun to play and sadly i wish he wasn't like that because mk11 sub gave you so many options to destroy your opponents. If mkx sub was in this game i would seriously have lots of fun utilizing all the best combos with him. Hopefully he's given justice again soon. NRS knows he's a threat and he deserves his shine.
