I totally agree! I'm 31, leaning into a simple life. Currently working a stressful meaningless job, trying to change. And learning about minimalism, declutterism, and co. Good video!

What was the turning point for you that made you wake up and decide to take control of your new direction? Thanks for your comment, Kelly.

@@NomadOverNormal I think I've always been that way. Seeing my parents (boomers) working all their lives, still do, getting richer and richer. That's not for me. I want to work the bare minimum, enjoying my hobbies and family. My current job is so stressful now (management), even if I've been working 4/5 ever since my son was born 4 years ago. I'm looking for a simpler job, no stress, even if that means earning a lot less. We don't consume a lot besides food. We have a 1000€/m mortgage on our small house, we don't need a lot of money. We never buy clothes, never went to the hairdresser, no makeup, just the essentials. I was actually looking to work as a postman for a few months to clear my mind ahah

this is something ive started to notice to. the more successful you become or the more you accomplish there is always a new target, always a new thing to chase. It becomes exhausting and i feel to truly be happy one have to stop chasing meaningless goal and start becoming happy with what you have there in the moment and treasure it, as life in the grand scheme of things is short.

Great insight. Treasuring the moment is really the key to happiness. At the same time, we are meant to progress. Without resistance, we don't feel belonging, you know? So my message about finding purpose.. to drive self-progress is my antidote to hustle culture and what others define what our success should look like. That sounds about right, right?
