Success (WA) Driving Test Route, Success Assessment Centre PDA

This driving test route is just an excellent guide, as any assessor can take you anywhere within a reasonable distance from the test centre. Main, residential streets and car-parks we showed in this video are common places they use. Have plenty of practice before you take a PDA. The initial exit from the DoT car-park is always going to be the right turn as the left turn (direction) takes you to private property 1:02 Good luck and drive safely!

Hi Steve, just wanted to ask if we were asked to forward park and then do “reverse parking” and while at forward there’s an empty bay Infront of you is it permissible to just drive forward and call it “reverse” ? Same thing for parallel parking if they didn’t specify they wanted reverse parallel can I just go forward and then adjust my position from there? Cheers Cheryl

In most tests, the assessor will specifically say reverse park either next to a car, specific bay or anywhere you like. Generally, you will only park forward once when you come back to the centre. They can do both plus reverse parallel if they want to, but it rarely happens. The best idea is to know all types of parking reasonably well RE: your question *while at forward there’s an empty bay Infront of you is it permissible to just drive forward and call it “reverse* Unfortunately not

The videos are just guide, the assessor can take him anywhere in the area. The best advice I can give you, drive around with him within a few kilometers from the DoT and explore carparks, side streets and everything between. Good luck on Tuesday

They can ask you to parallel park if they want to, not often though. We had a few candidates who had to do it. It's good to know how anyway.
