Discipline isn't just something that you build, it's something you maintain with habits. Discipline gives us the very ingredients needed to achieve great things and patience is a big part of that. Don’t practice what you don’t want to become, know this and live by it. A person without discipline is a person full of reactions, rather than a person of good actions.
@keiser2889Ай бұрын
I'd argue habits are something you build which leads to maintaining discipline which means you do build discipline. Adherence to effective habits for your long term goal = discipline.
@johnklahn7720Ай бұрын
and a wonderful byproduct of this discipline is resilience. doing hard things, overcoming resistance of any kind builds resilience, and this is good for every area of your life. Thanks for the post and thanks for your comment.

I think just creating habits is underrated because when you are just like a robot going thru your daily routine, there’s almost no struggle or negative for-thought about the chore or daily task, exercise whatever it may be. You hear your alarm, get up and just go. It’s a habit.

Fantastic video deserves a wide audience. I am a counselling psychologist who has worked with people experiencing extreme mental health challenges for over 30 years. I would consider this video as potential material for many people as they move from crises towards major advancement in their self-efficacy and expand their range of power over their own wellbeing. It offers provides a baseline for exploaration of individual support and goal setting that can be taken in stages at a pace that suits each of our individual starting points. Thank you for this important and inspirational resource.

And then you get to the age where you’re so good at discipline and you “just do it” yet you’re sore, you tweak something in it body or just don’t have the energy you used to. “Just work harder” is only one part of the equation. Recovery, rest, bodywork, parasympathetic activation becomes more important as we age. Adapt and find the balance.

Anger works for me and sometimes the hardened heart cracks open and I do it out of love untill anger eventually comes back so .... when you've lived unreal suffering and caused enough of it your self but decide to turn your life around and achive freedom but yet the suffering keeps coming it's very easy to feel bad for yourself and fall into depression. And anger is the ultimate antidote. Good luck 👍
