Now that you guys are not in production of commercial blooms and directing your attention to more food, I'd like to hear what you do for squash bugs! I planted some ornamental little white and variegated colored pumpkins and they were destroyed by the squash bugs. I ripped the all out rather than waste the space and deal with the bugs. What keeps your squash bugs off the plants?

Believe it or not we have not had squash bugs. This may be due to our being located in an area that is surrounded by farms that do not grow any veggies. Sorry to hear about how bad your plants got affected. I would suggest looking into Jadam's natural pesticide solutions

How often did you spray LAB on the squash?

actually this season we did not use any LAB on the squash but used Jadam Micro Organism Solution (JMS) and grass based Jadam Liquid Fertilizer JLF every 10 days for the first month until fruit set. We wanted to see the effects of using just the JADAM system. so far it appears to work fairly well. since this is late in the season we are not going to be using LAB to knock down mildew as this is a natural part of the squash plants life cycle near the end.
