In Africa and China Dowry is a normal process of obtaining wives and there’s no guilt in this process because the parents would be given cash or animals as in some of the cultures.Look at the few videos on African wife in China and you will see how their lives has evolved fitting in with the country farming life and most of all loved by the parents family.Let this be a wake up call for all the guys in Africa that prefer Muzungu because it’s possible that there could be an invasion by the bachelors from China.Its too early to give an effective opinion of how it will all end but viewing the videos from China so far it seems they’re thriving in many ways.

It seems some people don't read the translations n come up with their own conclusions: slavery, scared, being sold, no right to object, etc Based on the translations in the video (any Chinese person can correct me if I'm wrong), the woman was upset for 2 reasons: 1. The guy taking the video booked a single room to save money. But the woman just wanted to share the room with her new husband. This is normal and the video taker admitted his mistake and let the new couple have the room. 2. The new husband gave his new wife a new handphone but she sold it for 8,000. He was upset because the new handphone was meant for his wife. But then, he gave the money to her (as shown in the video) so she can buy clothes, etc for herself. They both made up and promised to understand each other better. And on to China they will go to start a new life

Why did she sell the phone? Doesnt she understand that she will need it to talk to her family back home when she starts to live in China? He should have said he was hurt by her selling the gift and that's why he took the money. I think she felt rebuked that he took the money. She felt she had done something wrong. Communication issues. If he told her he wanted her to be able to talk to her family when they were in a far country and if she told him she wanted clothes so she could look pretty for the journey. But the matchmaker made the husband reassure the wife that he loved her. So hopefully she will be less stressed and communicating will be better. If they can tell their hearts to each other. Our African men are drowning in the Mediterranean Sea in their thousands - desperate to reach Europe. They are fleeing hunger, poverty, unemployment and conflict. In my country, 25% of the population have fled 90% unemployment. We are scattered across the globe in Canada, UK, US, several European countries, China, Russia, Australia and other countries. We all send money home to pay for basic necessities like rent, school fees, healthcare, food, etc... I know a fellow countrywoman living in Wales who hasn't seen her children for 10 years because she cannot afford to pay for own living expenses in Wales, as well as send money home. She has acquired a mountain of debt, but we do what we have to do for our families in Africa. .... These girls have very few prospects, hence they are queuing up for the opportunity to live a better life elsewhere. 99% of them will live better lives in China. Even if they stayed in Ethiopia, they would not marry for love. They would marry the man who can afford the Bride Price. Many end up as second/third wives to men old enough to be their grandfathers. Plus, they are put to work to support the household.
