Yup- my ex wife never worked and we didnt even have kids. Literally stayed at home, yacked on the phone all day, went to the gym, went shopping, brunches w gfs, and still ended up cheating on me cuz she was bored lolz. Dont let them stay home. That’s sad. Some women are domesticated others are not. I was a practicing attorney with a small law firm, however my husband is very wealthy so I was able to leave that stressful work. I advise him on his business projects but most love taking care of our homes. I perform music at a pretty substantial level, also decorate, work with contractors, landscapers, etc to make our surroundings more beautiful. Learning about organic gardening and building a greenhouse. My mother never worked, or my grandmother. I was not raised to be a working wife.

I bought my stunning Italian wife a beautiful red Aventador last year. Married 40 years latwr this year. I staged it at our favorite restaurant, which we were going to for her birthday. After dinner, as we waited for the valet to bring our car, they brought the Aventador up with a big red bow on the hood. I had them hand her the remote, and I said Happy Birthday. Her reaction was priceless!!! She was beyond shocked and confused. Sure glad she liked it. Of course, after it sank in she had no issue jumping in the drivers seat. She has been driving exotic cars for over 20 years now. We have been car collectors and enthusiasts since the mid 90's. 7 children and 5 grandchildren too! Oh no, we also like each other. Did some carpentry work for a wealthy family. The wife was always home, so I'd be there with her alone all day. She was very good-looking and seemed to be quite friendly. She never cleaned, cooked, or did the yard. Everything was done by someone else. The last day, she made it very clear she hired me for a specific task. It dawned on me that women like that weren't wives, but placeholders. I never went through with that task (she was married), but realized a wife has duties to do too, not just be a trophy. I have a niece that lives this way. Her husband is very successful in business. He asked her to marry him, but he wanted a prenup. He assumed she would continue to work. She talked him into financing a jewelry store for her. One year later she bailed on it and shut it down because she said she only made $35k take home after taxes and rent. I tried to explain to her that most businesses aren’t profitable the first year. So that $35k was good. Anyway, she never went back to work. They have no kids. She has a maid. What does she do all day? What does she contribute? She doesn’t even cook or clean. I definitely can see him divorcing her and moving on to someone more relatable. Oh, and did I mention she’s about 30 or 40 pounds overweight. You’d think she could at least eat right and exercise to look good for him. So weird.

It can also go the other way. Many wives of rich successful men forget that all that luxury they get to enjoy comes from all the years of their man's hard work. And after a while they start moaning that they are not getting enough attention from him as before and then they ask for divorce...taking away half of the property and money that man earned for his family in the first place. Okay, but just because the husband is successful doesn't mean that the wife gives up her career. If both have careers, and the man happens to bring home more bacon than the wife, this doesn't mean that the wife necessarily SHOULD iron her husband's clothes for him. Is he ironing her clothes for her? But if she is a stay at home wife, she should do all the tasks of a stay at home wife, yes.
