don't mind me, just a random plant parent here to drop random information no one needs or wants... okay, so succulents are a category of plants that includes cacti that is essentially classified by having thickened sections (leaves, stems, etc) in order to retain water in dry climates. Because of this, succulents don't need to be watered very often and are really easy to care for. Many succulents grow fairly well from cuttings, so if one were to remove the succulents from their nails and plant them, they would likely grow just fine. That's what the original creator meant when they said that it doesn't harm the plants. Also, because they store so much water, they don't die very quickly after you pluck them, so theoretically one could wear them on their nails for a week or two before the succulents died if they did nothing with their hands for the whole time.

Don't worry Cristine, the liquid that you said was blood jokingly is just the water that they store inside of them. Succulents store water in the " leaves " because they are adapted for dessert climates. And in dessert climates there is very little water so they have to store the water they can get and use it when they need it!

I’ve been obsessed with succulents for years and I totally missed seeing anyone’s pictures of their manicures on social media! Cristine’s actually turned out pretty amazing and I would probably wear the one made into a ring. I had a wreath with succulents and I watered it once a week in our bathtub. It lasted from beginning of September until February when we had a really bad cold snap. I removed the succulents from the wreath and planted them inside in pots. Not all survived but a good 50% did.

with succulents, you can rip off a stem, plant it, and it will reroot and become another plant lolll

Willow most plants grow that way it's called rotting or take cutting and root them..roses bushes most things... not bulbs tho

You don’t “rip” off the stem. You have to carefully remove the leaves or let them fall naturally and eventually they will root. If you want to cut the stem, it has to be a clean cut.

The smaller they are the less likely they are to successfully root, so when you're using tiny babies like this they may just shrivel up when you try to replant them.
