That is cute! I have a Burrow’s Tail and it’s trailing beautifully out of the horse conch I planted it in a year ago. The little leaves do fall off with just a bump though. I have it growing on my dining room table in a bright light room, not too much stretching. I trimmed it back a few weeks ago. The cut ends have gotten the cutest little rosettes in them!

I love, love, love burrito! I started my own pot of this succulent from cuttings from my mom’s plants and was so excited to see them flourish. Then one day after my 3-year old granddaughter had been to my house to play I noticed just about all of the leaves were on the ground under the pot. She had had a great time picking them all off!!! Needless to say I have a second generation burrito plant now- so thankful that cute, chubby babies grow easily from the leaves. I will give them some more full-sun time now though after viewing your video.

I've been so confused for so long about the difference between burro's tail and burrito! Good to know about the pointed vs rounded leaves; I wonder why that is. I have some burro's tail that I've been propagating, it was so funny because when I was collecting the leaves, they just kept falling off whenever my hand accidentally bumped into them, so I ended up with way more leaves than I was planning on, which was not in any way a bad thing haha.

I love this plant too! I have a large hanging pot full of these, maybe 15 plants total. I filled in the spaces around them with leaves that fell off, so hopefully they will help make it bushier in time. I have also noticed that when leaves fall off, its common that a new stem will grow from that spot, creating branches that make the plant look fuller and even more beautiful! I am in zone 5 or 6 so I'll have to bring them in during the winter. Thanks, Cassidy!

Your videos are so informative and I watch them with avid curiosity -- and I always get inspired to get more, especially from Mountain Crest. Living in a small apartment where space is a premium, the only way to have more succs is to have arrangements rather than individual pots. Mine used to stretch, got better when I moved, but then I had to move it off the windowsill to finally hang it because it was so long and now it’s stretching again. Sigh. Also my propagations are going SO SLOWLY. It’s been months and they are still so tiny! I think next year I may try putting them outside in the summer, maybe that will help. Eventually I may cut them and try to regrow, but even though they’re stretched, they’re so long I hate to start over....

Thank you for explaining difference between Burrito and Morganianum. Now I know that I want Morganianum since I own Burrito. It is so cute, but slow grower. Any tips for growing faster?
@Succulentsandsunshine5 жыл бұрын
It likely needs a little bit more frequent watering. Succulents are slow growers in general, but if they don't get enough water that slows their growth quite a bit.

Would this grow well on my patio where only one side of the hanging pot will get the direct sun? Will the side facing into the patio end up stretching or reaching towards the sun? Do I need to rotate it?
@Succulentsandsunshine5 жыл бұрын
You would probably be best off rotating it. It might get enough indirect light that it wouldn't reach too much. However, rotating it would be ideal :)

Can you explain what you mean by planting after it hardens off? Mine got little hairs/roots, so I spritz them with water every 3-4 days. Do we push it under the soil? All of it? Leave it on top?
@Succulentsandsunshine5 жыл бұрын
It just means until the soft juicy part of the cutting is dry. You don't want that "wet" end in the soil as it can be more prone to rot that way. More details here: succulentsandsunshine.com/yt-prop1

@subito72625 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this, and lots of other of your videos! As for the Sedum burrito, it's one of the only succulents I really struggle with: Often, pushing new grows (for instance from leaves) but these tend to shrivel after having reached a couple of millimeters size and frequently die then. The balance of over and under watering seems tricky to balance to me. Any advise? Thanks!
@Succulentsandsunshine5 жыл бұрын
Babies definitely need more water than fully grown plants. If the leaves are wrinkled and dull, water more frequently but try to let the soil dry out most of the way. Don't spray lightly, make sure the soil is getting soaked through. More help here: succulentsandsunshine.com/yt-dying
