My 27-year-old son is still fearful of vaccines because of the trauma he experienced during childhood vaccinations. There were five people, including nurses and us, who held him while he screamed and cried. I feel bad about the vaccine trauma he went through. If he had a doctor as gentle as him, maybe he wouldn't have had a problem with his COVID vaccine today.

Nice. This mannerism should be learnt and picked up by all doctors not just paediatricians. Elders used to instill a lot of fear that doctor will give injection, it will pain a lot just to keep us away from playing with rain water or handle child tantrums., It actually doesn't pain much as projected in reality. It's the fear that causes so much pain. Parents should learn healthy child friendly positive ways to handle childhood tantrums rather than instilling fear of doctors on whom trust is needed.
