Yes, the walker with a cast on did end up drowning the baby (implied) because the baby wouldn't stop crying and attracting walkers. definitely one of the more darker things we've seen 😔

Denise had so much potential. Between her determination to learn how to fight n defend herself n her medical training, she would've become an important member of the community. Counting down for the cliffhanger. I forgot about Carol's departure. It was an interesting tangent. Each one in the group (the Ricks , lol) has their own catharsis to go through. Gabriel took a while, but is better for it. Eugene takes his in little stages, each one leaving him more fierce and confident. Poor Denise. That was a shock. Daryl was so angry. He is destined to become a force to be reckoned with. Lethal, but compassionate.

the shock kill was in line with the shock kill of the prisoner that had become part of the group. people you can't help but like, and that you want to see stick around for awhile, thump. dead as fried chicken. and yes, it may be a tad bit on the confusing side right now, but it will be explained in the future. maybe next week, maybe next season. eventually it will be. and you'll see the light. or maybe you'll see the dark. you just never know with TWD. good job guys. am frantically looking forward to next weeks shows.

Denise also died stupidly because she hung back for a soda and decided to prove a point of bravery in killing a walker when Daryl & Rosita were already walking off and way ahead of her then had to turn back and run towards her to try and save her, but she managed it and then a further delay with her long speech, they would have missed Dwight had they not stopped and kept on moving. We were sat waiting 'til youboth got to the arrow part through Denise's eye.😨 Remember two or three episodes back Sherry said to Dwight she knows Daryl reminded him of himself how he use to be i.e. probably strong willed etc. LOL, TWD also hates horses🐎 as well as Doctors.🧑🏻‍⚕️🧑🏼‍⚕️🧑🏽‍⚕️

Dwight comes from the comics and he is also the owner of the crossbow in the comics. Daryl doesn't exist there. Denise death reminded me a bit of a chicken whose head is cut off and then still runs on.

Comic Comparisons : This episode has a lot of parallels to the comic Let’s go down the list. Denise does die in the comics but not in this way Rather It’s Abraham (Denise dies a few arcs later) While escorting Eugene to a place where he believes he can manufacture bullets Abraham is shot randomly with an arrow by Dwight he was mid sentence just like Denise talking about how he is fine with Rosita and Eugene being in a potential relationship He just wants her to be happy Robert Kirkman (creator/writer of The Walking Dead comics) always said in retrospect he was unhappy with the way Abraham went out which is most likely why it didn’t go down that way in the show. The dick bite It happens but not on the train tracks The whole expedition with Rosita Daryl (who doesn’t exist in the comics) and Denise doesn’t happen Instead after killing Abraham Dwight drags Eugene and Abraham’s body to the gates of Alexandria and threatens to kill Eugene if they don’t let them in ( they know the same amount about Negan in the show as they do in the comics at this point) Eugene bites Dwight’s dick to cause confusion and allow the rest to drive them away. Abraham’s relationship after the dramatic split with Rosita is rather with a woman named Holly rather than Sasha who doesn’t exist in the comics Abraham was actually cheating on Rosita with Holly and Rosita found out Confronting Abraham with it yielded the same result as in the show I thought you were the last woman on earth You’re not. Spencer and Rosita’s relationship doesn’t happen in the comics rather it’s Spencer and Andrea (who is still alive at this point in the comics) though it wasn’t much of a relationship The most they had was dinner and an almost kiss before Andrea and Rick got together (parallel to Rick and Michonne)

I think that being able to handle your fear and kill walkers is a basic life skill here. One that Denise felt like she needed to develop. She was extremely valuable as a doctor but as we've seen nowhere is really safe. I don't think she would ever attempt to go into a fight like Rick took to Negan but if you can't even protect yourself and possibly others from a walker you would be at a big disadvantage.

I have seen this show like a thousand times and have been watching rob and trin watch it since season 1, giggling when rob couldn’t look, with him not at him, all the time knowing this episode was coming. I cannot watch the arrow through the eye scene. Something about it skeeves me out beyond belief. I think it’s the way she trails off with her sentence after it happens, and the fact it’s her eye, idk. But it gets me bad.

I didn't mind the episode and I realy felt it when she died because I binged this show the first time around. Now, watching your reaction, this is the least best one for me so far because the episode was not as good. I get what they went for, but it didn't turn out that way. Her death was unnecessary, they could have been ambushed regardless with the same outcome. Some will say that there is a reason she died but as it is spoilerish in a sense, all I am saying is, it doesn't even than make sense, the other option would still have been chosen and the path would have been the same. RIP Denise.

I think the Wolves attack was showing Denise that she needed to be tougher just as Eugene was trying to overcome his own cowardice. It was a parallel story of two people who felt like cowards who wanted to be more not just for themselves, but for the group.

The thing is... when I saw this episode, I liked how Denise was feeling accomplished when she got her soda... because she wanted to prove she could be a fighter as well... and sure, she was nowhere near fighting level as some of our other fighters... but she had proven to herself that she could handle it and she was feeling good about it. Sure, it felt foolish to more experienced folk like Daryl and Rosita... but I got where she was coming from. Then she was laying down some serious truth to Rosita and Daryl about the things they were hiding from despite the way she perceived them as being stronger and more courageous than her and I was so into what she was saying I was SHOCKED when the bolt hit her... and I just couldn't register it for a moment... and I was very sad that we lost her as a character.

In retrospect, I like the approach to kill off developing characters. There is no rhyme or reason to who gets killed or when. Just because someone is capable, doesn't mean they are exempt from the ravages of the world. Losing random good characters is what makes this fictional world real to us...and work for us.

Denise realized a few episodes back, when Owen took her out into that zombie hoard, that eventually her luck would run out if she didn't learn to protect herself. Like Beth, like Enid, Denise's soul wasn't meant to live tucked away in a box; "just surviving somehow," is not living. It's a theme that carried over to Abraham and Sasha as well. Eventually the world will come for you. It's what you do with the time you have left that makes all the difference. Reckless or not, it was incredibly romantic of Denise to risk her life for a simple can of pop just because her girlfriend loved it so much. Denise chose to live, not just survive.
