The first time I head this I was thinking, oh, pretty repetitive... really repetitive .... oh, look at that bass player.... oh, HOLY #$&!! Viking, Eric Adams of Manowar is Dan's favorite singer and the original album version of this song also features a 30 second plus top note. The secret for getting into Manowar is favoring their more creative early phase. How about doing Heart of Steel, Dan has a cover and there's a good video on the official Manowar channel? You could do both, and the same with Angra's Carry On (Manowar has a song with the same title, curiously), Dan did an incredible cover and Luís really shows his stuff on that one. Another good Manowar song to get into it is Guyana, very creative use of rythm. Anyway, thanks, your reactions to Dan are always a treat!
