@@elissahunt you seem to be fixated with the use of the pick. I am well aware that most bassist don’t use a pick. What I found impressive, was that he was able to play the entire song with such speed without a pick. Most people’s fingers can’t move that fast for that long without a pick. It’s like Dans scream. All metal singers can scream, but not very many can hold that scream for a full 30 sec. In this video, both Dan and Luis displayed their amazing talent. I certainly apologize if I seemed to be impressed just because he didn’t use a pick. That was not my intention.

We put a digital timer 3 times on that awesome scream and each time it came out at 32.4 secs, how unbelievable is that to hold a note at that pitch level!

This cover, in Dan's words, was epic and highlighted by the challenge for Luis to play without a pick and then Dan holding the note for 30secs to finish with Luis. Both masters at their craft.

Dan lives and works in Brazil, and his English is amazing! I enjoy his music very much. He is a great performer and just did an awesome cover of “My Heart Will Go On “ which was originally done by Celene Dion! He makes every song better than the original, and I think he’s incredible!

I have a question, please. I’m aware that English is not your first language. How difficult is it to understand English when you come across another non-English accent such as Dan’s Brazilian Portuguese accent? Both of you have a wonderful English vocabulary and you are both easily understood, but I’m curious if it is more difficult for you to understand? Thanks for doing this reaction to Dan!
