It's interesting to hear Yoongi talk about how Epic High's music affects him.. that it is such a comfort to him. I hope he realizes his (and BTS's) music affects all of us the same way.

This was a favorite episode of the show! Suga and RM are such huge fanboys of Epik High and Tablo but it’s such mutual appreciation these days.

I’m so happy you decided to do this Suchwita! It’s one of my favorite episodes. The Lee Sora song, Song Request, is beautiful - she has a lovely, lovely voice and Yoongi does some soft rap (I was baby ARMY when I first heard it & was surprised at his delivery) that is so heartfelt. So even if you don’t do a reaction, it’s worthy of a listen and a place on a playlist. Thanks for sharing that wonderful mask and its backstory. 💜

Another great episode. I only know Epik High by reputation and I've only heard good things. Tablo just seems like a lovely, grounded human being that would be interesting to talk to over drinks even if he was just a regular guy with an ordinary job. I found him relatable, that he never talks about music and dreams and sometimes forgets because he's wrapped up in his everyday life and what's going on with his kid. It's important for people to see artists as real people. They aren't just sitting around polishing their awards and counting their money with brilliant song lyrics floating around their heads as inner dialogue. I really appreciate Yoongi for having this show where we can just see artists talking about themselves as people. I hope he continues with Suchwita when he comes back from military.

thats about where I am at too, we had one song and it was awesome! I do think that it seems to be a trait of people who go through a lot of struggle, it seems to just really give them such a good perspective. I hope he continues it too, I think that humanization is particularly important for KPop because they are touted as these perfect emotionless beings I love seeing them in a normal fashion

Tablo has an IQ of 160 and graduated from Stanford University with both a BA and MS in three years. No wonder he’s friends with RM (IQ of 148). Imagine the incredible conversations about music and life in general. (Suga’s no slouch either!)

woooow! 160, thats like top of everyone of all time kind of IQ, I would pay money to see those two talk

Tablo and Epik High are hilarious. Tablo interacts with a lot of ARMY on Twitter. In their concerts, he talks about how he became a feature on RM's song and the story changes with each show 😂 If you want to know the story of what he went through, there's an article "The Persecution of Daniel Lee" on Stanford magazine. The next guest in the teaser was a senior actor, which I think was the hardest guest Suga has ever had to get to open up. Suchwita was still in its early episodes and I personally get the sense that the actor felt like, what can I possibly talk about with this young man. But you see how Suga drew him out little by little, and the guest ended up sharing his experiences eagerly. Interestingly, he was on a show recently, and he was asked what music he was listening to, he said Suga's and BTS's songs! 😊 (This is such a contrast with the later episodes of Suchwita, where the guests were eager to be on it, knowing that Suga is a wonderful host and is able to have deep conversations with his guests.)

yes! that makes sense, I think if anyone could do it, it would be SUGA. I think after awhile you kinda get the handle on things and just make it easier on yourself too

I love listening to Tablo. He is just so good at talking. He has a podcast that goes by "The Tablo Podcast" and I can listen to him talk for hours! Doesn't matter what the topic of conversation is. He just has a knack for making the most random conversation interesting! And I do believe BTS (specifically the rap line) are highly influenced by their music and in a way, Suga isn't lying when he says Epik High "made" BTS! The greatest influence any group has on BTS has to be Epik High's in my understanding! I personally like "On my way" by Epik High and Tablo's collaboration with RM in "All Day". I guess, listening to these two songs, you will get what I mean when I say BTS were influenced by Epik High in a good way! I hope you give the songs a listen some day!💜 Also, when Tablo says he "dreams" of people not going through the hardships he went through, the hardships he is talking about are very different from what we understand by the term within the context of K-pop. He basically was cancelled at the national level for no fault of his and merely based on some random speculations about his degree veing false that blew out of proportion and ended up sabotaging his career for quite sometime. It was shocking for me the way he was publicly persecuted and his character assasinated for absolutely nothing! You can read on it or listen to him talk about it in another podcast on spotify. (I don't remember the name of that one right now)! Also, it was fun knowing your first dream was to become a wrestler! I started imagining you in the ring and you looked good!😄

I think it was probably best that I didnt become a wrestler, sadly.

Enjoyed your commentary at the end. Kinda glad you didn't become a wrestler and get hurt. Though I think you should still develop a wrestling persona/character just for fun. Just like when BTS created a line of characters (BT21), I designed a character of my own, just to see what I'd come up with. Turned out better than I expected 😁

HAHA! my wrestling persona? that would be wild! well, if life went the same way it did but was a wrestle, I would have been retired after that car wreck 12 years ago, I wonder how things would ended up... I dont think I have looked into BT21, that sounds kinda fun

Ahh I really like this episide. You feel thru screen thatvthey are close and very comfortable... 😌 It was very nice and chill episide and fun too, but with some little wisedom here and there. It us great that Suga and RM have that good role model and friend to talk. Tablo is very funny to inteact on twt (x) he has great humor. There were some parts cut from episode and now I wonder if something changed from time I watched it or you cut some 🤔 (The next episide that was hinted is with actor.) Tablo got so much hate for nothing, Epik high for sure had a bomby road. Like BTS. And for sure it made them people there are now, strong, confident, but humble and kind, bc they for so much shit trow around and at them. For me the most delulu hate he got was about his education (?!) , he is very smart and talented mist people woukd xall him prodigy, he graudeted from Stanford in four years with bachelor and masters, and people for some reasons didn't belive him? And he got so much hate, I still can't belive it, like there were so many people that it was on news tgat he liee about his educatiin. He showed his documents and people still don't believe tgey said there is no way he coukd do it in that short time, even had the school to relese documents that he was studend and it did nothing, he literally provided all he could and hate was going strong, he actually took break from music bc if this and he left compant that he was then with, him and his family got death threats abd ge had to takw step back,he literally had profesora from school take stand and ge go and recorded at collage documents there that administrator give that they are real. Case got so big that police was involved and even interpol, bc police officialy comfirmed he was student there and in this short time he did finish his education, but bc if this defamation people that were at the head of this was sued buly him, in the end the person that started this wnd fuel it was from US so interpol had to get involved, in the end he sued 22 people and they had to erase all this lies they posted. But what a hard time it was nobody can erase this. And there are still delulu people that think it is dome conspirisy. Wtf ehh For be it is so shocking....
@Killdeer2510 ай бұрын
Haha! thats awesome he gets involved with ARMY! you can really feel it, now I kinda want to see him interact with RM! I really dont get why people hate, honestly it just makes me think that its all from jealousy, its the only thing that truly, who hates on someone getting an education? its so silly!

I just wanted to say this. I'm not a regular watcher of your content. But I have watched yours occasionally. About what you said sir on people having written the same or better things, I think it's just the same as a small scale project not many know about but is very special to the ones who do. You know how in this ep Tablo was mentioned to have a sentiment of loneliness in his music that even after 20 years, even when he has changed through the years remains the same? It's like that. Even if the same story with the same sentiments is written by many authors, non of the books would feel the same and not all will resonate with you and just touch you in that way some things simply do. So please write. And please release them. I would like to see your special form of sentiment that only you can bring to the table. When I have the time I would like to listen to them, and share my thoughts and feelings on them. I'm really young ig to be saying this, but that is really what art and human emotion is about. Ever since we became a civilization and not simply an animal, human beings have always strived to be seen. Being seen seems to have become the root of happiness for us and that is I think, the beginning of the many forms of conflicting emotions we feel today. I personally think we would again- just as with technology(machines) after civilization- progress towards more steps, as long as this earth is willing to have us. So continue on. Be more creative and express your unique sentiments. It is all of us as a collective after all that pushes things forward. How nice is it that something sincere and authentic is being resonated rather than the endless gossip, pretensiousness and useless energy and time spent in bursts everywhere. How nice it is to talk to a human being and not a masked man playing clown till the end. That's what I think. Thank you for your honesty sir. I find it quite rare to find these days, in the flesh mostly. Though, as you can see, bts has opened the doors for me to see more than before. I am grateful towards all of you.

Thank you for this amazing comment! It's true, your exactly right. Honestly, I think the biggest thing is usually more of a mental set back, I think its so easy to get caught up in feeling inferior, the truth is you're right, the unique voice we each have is what actually makes what you do different but it really is am imposter syndrome world, your perspective is amazing!
