I have this on my left hip. It's got a fatty bulge that I don't have on the other side. It's big enough that I look like I have 'panty lines' when there is no panty there. I consulted a plastic surgeon and his remedy was to inject the OTHER side with more fat to even me out. Uhmmm, how about removing the fat to make it look more like the leaner side!!??

(Using my son’s KZbin account) I may have this condition, too. In 2007 I had bariatric surgery and was told weight loss was not necessarily symmetrical. Everything was fine until 2014 when I started experiencing neurological issues. My body shape is nearly identical as this patient’s, but overall I’m larger and the asymmetrical difference is not as extreme. However, as I’ve gained weight, my right side is bigger than my left-arm, breast, abdomen, thigh, calf-enough to cause clothes fit issues and be visually obvious. My neurologists and pcp just shrug their shoulders and don’t care. Long ago, I considered liposuction to even out the fat but am concerned that even if I maintain weight, the fat will return on my right side due to a neurological connection to the left side lesion in my brain that is causing other right side body issues. Oh, how I want this figured out and “fixed.”

My mum had a liposuction done a few times after she stopped having kids. One time when the had her full body, neck, arms, tummy, back, thighs, bum and hips sculptured, so just evening and shaping with liposuction. But this one surgeon were so rough on her body her recovery was almost impossible. The fat on her legs had been separated from her muscles so fluid built up between the fat and muscles layer, so when she tried to continue exercising, her body would just jiggle and it was hurting her when it would happen. She wasn't happy with the results and she was in a lot of pain for a year or more. She waited until she was fully healed and then went to a different doctor and had it redone and she was so happy about the results and wasn't in as much pain. I get that surgery is time-consuming as it is and the longer someones under, the risker for the patient is higher. But rushing by causing unnecessary trauma, making healing to take longer and be harder is just unfair to the patient.
