A civil war has broken out in Sudan, famine is looming, a genocide is underway in Darfur, all while the international community turns a blind eye or is directly profiting from the conflict, Sudan is collapsing, here’s why.

one thing I do want to say, and this is just from my view, is that most people throw their "support" to the SAF because the SAF is basically made up of the people. I know it sounds a bit odd, but people have to remember is that while the RSF is a made up of mercenaries who give loyalty for money, the Army gets its force from Civilian recruits(your uncle,brother,cousin,etc...) who join it as a patriotic act to protect their people and Land. the people's "loyalty" are to the armed force not the Armed command.

@hunthebug
@hunthebug 6 ай бұрын
Why?
@jamesbernardini9063
@jamesbernardini9063 6 ай бұрын
@huntthebug9744 Revolutions usually end in one of two scenarios Scenario 1: Elements of the regime remove the figurehead and try to carry on governing. See Egypt 2011, Russia March 1917 and Sudan 2019 Scenario 2: The regime is completely overthrown and the revolutionaries take power. See France 1789, Haiti 1804 and Iran 1979 In scenario 1, the revolutionaries will continue to fight to point it usually dissolves into civil war. If the new government is weak it will collapse and lead to scenario 2 In scenario 2, the revolutionaries will begin impose revolutionary violence on the populace. This will start with those associated with the regime but then one faction looks to secure it's power by eliminating its rivals. These scenarios spark reactions and counter-reactions which are only exacerbated if the groups are divided on racial, ethnic, national and/or religious lines. This doesn't even begin to take into account the interests of outside powers. Tldr; most revolutions end in civil war, mass atrocities and a worst dictatorship then what the country began with. So a fourth and then fifth revolution/coup in a country not even 70 years old was always going to end like this.

Britain didn't draw the borders of Sudan, they inherited it when Britain took Sudan from Ottoman Turkey-Egyptian rule. Sudan (which was known as Sennar in the Central, Darfur in the West, and other territories) was conquered by Mohammed Ali Pasha, an Albanian Turk who ruled Egypt. From 1821-1899, Sudan was under Turko-Egyptian rule, then there was a brief independence movement in Sudan called Mahdism, and then it was Anglo-Egyptian rule. It would have been good context to include in your video.

I had a Sudanese friend and I can confirm that this is correct. According to him, people don't and can't access basic amenities over there, freedom of movement, speech, expression is extremely restricted because the military pretty much cracks down and brutally murders opposition, and due to the massive death toll, the streets have become graves full of decomposing corpses. His parents and younger sister were murdered by the army in the night, and he managed to escape by pure luck because he went outside to urinate since they lack a functioning toilet. He's been overcome with trauma ever since. Can't even say the word Sudan without triggering a massive hysteria from him. May God help them.

I met a kid from Sudan escaping the civil war there few months ago here in Morocco, Tangier, he is only 17, crossing north African countries to reach Europe. there's no justice in this world it's all about money and power, evil shapes in different forms but one of known forms is selfishness and greed, and we are as civilians pay the price.
