Today is the last epispode of our "Azad Kashmir Motorcycle Tour" . We will cover last 2 days in this.
Day#08- We started our return from Taobat at early morning and reached muzaffarabad in 9 hours. We continued our journey towards Sudhan galli after taking a short break at muzaffarabad. We reached Sudhan Galli at last at 7pm. It took us 13 hours to travel direct from Taobat to sudhan galli in a single go travelling almost 200 km in a single day ; a nice achievement btw.
Sudhan Gali, also called as Dera Sadozai is a village located in Bagh District, Azad Kashmir.
It lies on the main road that connects the district Bagh to Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir and also connects the town of Chikkar with Bagh city.
It is located at an altitude of 7000 feet.
The Sudhan Gali was named after settlement of Kashmirised -Pashtun tribe, Sudhan, also known as Sadozai in the village.
This beautiful, scenic place attracts many tourists from all over Azad Kashmir and Pakistan.
There are two guest houses for tourists, which are constructed very beautifully and attract large number of people each summer.
Sudhan Gali is famous for its hiking trails that lead to Ganga Choti (Peak), a mountain peak about 9989 feet (3044 m) feet high which is one of the most famous tourist attractions in AJK, Pakistan.
Before the earthquake of 2005, Sudhan Gali had been used as a base camp for hikers and trekkers for the Ganga Choti mountain which lies nearby.
Sudhan Gali is also home to some of the rarest forests in the region containing pine trees that are hundreds of years old.
People of Sudhan Gali are very educated and the literacy rate is about 90% despite shortage of basic needs.
Day#09- Sudhan Galli-Mirpur.
We started our day from Sudhan galli and went to mirpur via Bagh-Rawlakot-kotli-hajera. the roads were narrow but very beautiful. it took us almost 12 hours to reach mirpur from sudhan galli which is almost 150km in distance.

**Bagh City is the chief town and district headquarters of Bagh District, in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. The town is situated on the confluence of two nullahs (streams), Malwani and Mahl (ماہلوانی اور ماہل) at the distance of 93 km from Muzaffarabad. Bagh is located 80 kilometres from Muzaffarabad, the capital city of Azad Kashmir. It is 160 kilometres from Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
**Kotli is a city in Kotli District of Azad Kashmir, in Pakistan. It lies on the Poonch River, and the river contains several notable waterfalls including the Lala Waterfall near the town of Kotli and the Gulpur Waterfalls at the village of Gulpur to the southwest. As per 2017 Census of Pakistan, Kotli had a population of 46,907.
The city of Kotli can be dated back to fifteenth century , when it was settled by a branch of the Royal family of Mangral Rajput Raja Mangar Pal. Back then it was known by the name of Kohtali meaning 'under mountain' , through the year the name morphed into Kotli. Kotli remained independent until subdued by Ranjit Singh in 1819. There is famous village Saidabad, Dhanna, and famous as mini Paris .
Kotli city is very popular because of mosques. There are mosques on all entrances and exits of the city. According to an estimate, there are more than three hundred mosques in the city, due to which Kotli is also called the city of mosques .
Topographically, the district is quite mountainous with lush green pine forests on the mountain slopes leading into the valleys. The altitude of Bagh Valley is 3405 feet (1038m). Major peaks near Bagh include Kobra Peak.
**Rawalakot is the capital of Poonch district in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is located in the Pir Panjal Range.
Rawalakot is located at an Elevation of 5374 feet. Rawalakot is approximately 76 kilometres (47 mi) from Kahuta and about 120 km (75 mi) from the city of Rawalpindi, Pakistan. It is linked with Rawalpindi and Islamabad via Goyain Nala and Tain roads. Via Kotli Satiyan and Kahuta.
Construction of the Ghazi-e-Millat road (also known as Guoien Nala road) between Rawalakot and Azad Pattan has considerably reduced travel time, it is main road which is connecting Islamabad/Rawalpindi to Rawalakot city.
