The first creatures you saw were mammal like reptiles. Dimetrodon was the one with the fin on his back. Found in Texas. The other ones were mammal like reptiles found in South - Africa. Permian South - Africa. As you progress you enter the area of dinosaurs and eventually you reach the age of the mammals.
