In this season, the grocery getter was most likely the cream-colored Mercury Colony Park wagon-the 78 version not a fan of the squarer (and still enormous, but just a plain box) 79. Was happy when JR bought her the Gray Benz wagon.

@@MsTexas73 The awesome Mercury wagons...it was as if SE wasn't important enough to get anything other than a used wagon that the Southfork ranch hands would drive. So the Mercedes wagon was her first actual nice car. Thereafter, she exclusively drove the most expensive Mercedes of the era, a 380 SEC and then a 560 SEC (coupes), both of which were more expensive than JR's Mercedes sedans. The weirdest automotive selection--well, there are a lot of weird ones, but JR driving that stupid Cadillac Allante that Mandy Winger picked out for several seasons. And after Pam barbequed herself and Bobby's red 560 SL, he went thru a series of dumb cars, worst of all a Maserati BiTurbo that JR bought him, then a Jaguar. WTF happened to Pam's 911 convertible??

See I think it went downhill after Pam crashed. I liked Season 9/DVD season 10. But I felt it began to miss something after that season. And definitely by Season 11/DVD season 12.

There is no wrong in art it's all subjective... I will go a step further and say the Dallas series started tanking after the "who shot Jr" climax... The main reason: Losing writer Camille Marchetta in 1981...Thoughts would be appreciated...

@@OdsnFilms first 3 seasons are my absolut favorite, 4-5 are really nice too, 6 till (and including) dream season are fine. After that - total disaster with only few good storylines - Sue Ellen as businesswoman was one of them.

He was an enabler. Of all of her others...Nicholas was better for her. He didn't enable her and encouraged her to depend on herself FIRST. HOWEVER, JR is her definitive...he loved her and down the line learned to respect her...but his idea of what it meant to be a 'man's man" and powerful messed him up and he lost her in the long run.
