Interview with Brett Anderson, Bernard Butler, Matt Osman and Simon Gilbert. From a VHS tape which I hung onto from February 1993 to promote Suede internationally before the first album.
The interview looks like it was shot in Matt's mum's living room (though more likely the winner of 'Chintzy Hotel of the year 1982') and the outdoor bits are on Oxford Street and Park Lane. It was probably shot in January 1993 as there are lots of 'SALE' signs up in the shops.
Features clips of the songs Metal Mickey, To The Birds and The Drowners. So at this point Animal Nitrate, So Young and the album had yet to be released.
Brett Anderson is wearing a vintage Lewis Leathers motorcycle jacket. Bernard Butler has what looks like a mop on his head - anyone know what this is all about?

@@rajnirvan3336 I can vouch for Matt anyway I was up the front for Suede's first concert in Dublin, which was in the Tivoli in 1993. That dude is tall! Brett on the other hand is short and at the time kind of stocky, he certainly wasn't this elegant, skinny bloke he seemed to be in photos. But all night I had girls literally climbing over me and over each other to get at him, it was Brettmania. The only thing I've ever seen to rival it was Morrissey, at his first solo concert in Dublin two years earlier.

+AvaBelle Brett Anderson is really a schmuck. He abused my family member named Virgo Rouge. He went out of his way to tell her she is talentless and she is a consummate artist. He kept putting her looks down and saying that she is not a pretty as Justine Frischmann and his wife etc...and that she is not good looking enough to open up for Suede since the Drop Out Venus is a band with better looking vocalists and that she is talentless compared to them. He is a liar. I want the world to know that he abuses really talented and creative people. He is above average, but not that much and she would never date Brett even if he were single. She does not think he is sexy , though he thinks he is God's gift to women. He is a loser! He is an abusive loser who thinks that he is God's gift to music and women. It is not a joke.

@@gabbyc816 He did but not at this point in the band, it was later on. Simon, the drummer at the time, confirmed that cocaine was the main drug consumed by some of the band (himself and Brett for definite) during this period. One of their videos had to be re-edited at the last minute when their manager spotted Brett touching and wiping his nose in some of the footage. For Brett, heroin came next. Justine F introduced him to it. Then after that, crack (around the time of the Head Music album).
