I was coming of age in the 90’s. I watch this even now and they are so exciting and untouchable. Nowadays everything is so accessible, good in other ways but the glamour of bands and pop stars has been lost

I guess you must have missed the fact they had 19 top 30 singles (8 top 10) and 8 top 10 albums (3 at number 1). Hardly 'one hit'. But commercial success has nothing to do with an artists merit anyway.
