Ik the attention to detail on this is insane. I also like at the end it shows the sirens getting ready. It replicates a stage, furthering highlighting the performance of it all.

Enticing but not seductive is a refreshing take for the siren. She's not tempting him with lust but rest and a promise of no more suffering and she's technically not lying. Killing and eating him will take the suffering from him

It's the whole reason I love her expressions at 2:06. Up till that point she's been kind of playing it up a bit, but after he explains his situation you can tell she's basically thinking "damn at this point killing you *would* be ending your suffering" with an expression that's borderline sympathetic.

I love how Odysseus is in shadow for the majority of the animatic, whereas the siren is in the light. It's a nice little piece of foreshadowing.

Ooh, the direct transition into the first sounds of Different Beast hits really nice. Most of the animatics of this one include some element of Odysseus about to strike, but this is the first time I've seen it go so smoothly into the next song.

here's what think, in "different beast", there was a line that said, ' while you were too busy trying to turn my men into snacks, you didn't notice that your friends got snatched'. What if that finger snap was a signal to his men to start rounding up the other sirens, while he was seemingly ensnared in her illusion and voice, deceiving the deceiver.

I LOVE the image of scylla, and the way the camera turns around the ship while the siren is describing where they must go, and the flip of her hand at the end before Odysseus says the least kind UGHHHH this is so incredible! ❤❤❤❤❤

The thumb nail is so pretty ❤ 0:01 love the details of the other wrecked ships a ody and crew sail thought. 0:12 the shadows of the sirens as they start singing Penel. 😮 0:17 the spotlight 😂! 0:48 love ody snaps with the beat of the song. 1:05 love how "Penel" steps and ripples match the song. 1:16 - 1:44 love the animation🎉 2:13 oh, ody looks over to the sirens😮. 2:22 i love the design differences between ody and "Penel" with him being in a darker shade and her in a lighter shade. 2:27 oh, a little too late penel in seeing the danger😂.

The transition from the waves of the water to the figures of penelope and their daughter, the way you showed the waves getting in their way (particularly in the "he will chase you high and low" part), the birds and the way you showed the sirens disappearing was soooo good i loved it

I’ve seen quite a few iterations of Suffering (and they’re all fantastic!), but yours is the first to include the other sirens getting snatched while Ody and Sirenelope talk, which I have been WAITING for someone to do. Also just generally what a gorgeous animation with some of the cleverest design choices I’ve seen thus far, 10/10 will recommend to friends and family regardless of their prior knowledge of Epic.

Definitely one of my favorite animatics for Suffering. I really enjoyed the dancing through the puddles as if to show him its not deep as well as her actually getting on the ship to jump with Odysseus.

This was an absolutely beautiful animation! So different from the other animatics I've seen. Something about this was was so fluid, like I could actually see it fully animated. Most of the others I've seen I feel only work in an animatic medium, but this... this I want to see fully developed. I also really liked the transition into different beast with the scream. I've always wanted to see one animatic take the plunge and let us see the siren get hurt at the end of the song. All in all, awesome animatic, and awesome work in general! :)

I very much love this! I like the way penelope walks etiehr on water itself on shallow water. I love the designs for both Odysseous, Siren!Penelope, and the ship, they are all beautifull. I love all the transfitions and scenes, and it gives a very quite huge feel of motion! the dress spin at 1;00 and the ship spin at 1:36 were my favorite, but the whole thing was great. i love how in control of hersel this siren! penelope seems with their emtions, being an experienced hunter, they don't get bored or something else, they simply get more visibly kind towards odysseous, and the siren either saw nothing wrong with odyssoeous's actions, or ignored them, confident in that, eventually, he would fall. i love the final scenes with siren! penelope and odysseous right before he stabs her with a knife. the fact it's a knife rather than a bow, or a sword, helps make it all the more personal. and i love the hint we got of scylla's design. awesome!

I love all of this, but especially the playful twirl at the beginning (lovely smooth dress!) and your Scylla design? Its terrifying! I personally find the original dog faces more scary than the serpent for some reason. Also, its interesting that Odysseus is grey while the siren is white. Ofc they are both monsters, but Odysseus is the 'worse' monster here
