I too suffered with an earache for months. My Dr. could find nothing wrong. Then it traveled to my jaw. My dentist did an X-Ray and said all was well. I was upset with my Dr. The pain was excruciating so I called an ENT. To make a long story short I had laryngeal cancer. That was five years ago. So far I am cancer free.

True story. Don't use cotton sticks to clean your ears. Some people use alcohol to remove ear wax but it makes epithel go dry and peel off and so the infected wax making it form ear plugs like this. Just use olive oil for irrigation and you'll be surprised how clean ear actually feels. Remember to do so when you go swimming because people who swim aren't bothered with proper ear hygiene because they think that their ears are clean because they are wet. Moisture in the ear tube can lead to ear infection and reoccurring ear infections leads to deafness. What's striking when you go to the seaside Italy is the fact that the lion portion of the elderly population needs hearing aids because their are deaf due to this very reason.

You obviously aren't a medical professional so you don't know. When you go to your local pharmacy you will get the same advice and you can actually buy olive oil for eat irrigation. YT is a perfect place to spread the word of wisdom. See, people use all sorts of stuff from perfume, vinegar, to cotton buds and matches to clean their ears because they don't know what they should use. And yes,I'm an armchair doctor.

After all that slow suction and prodding on the oyster, use alligator forceps already!
@Hono_S6 жыл бұрын
Scott Spiro sadly with this type of infection...the tissue is extremely fragile...using forceps could easily remove layers of internal ear skin causing severe irreparable damage. The suction may be laborious and nerve wracking but it's the least damaging of all options...as is he was using liquid topical anesthetic to comfort the patient...forceps bumping the wrong thing could hurt the patient much worse. The Dr. did an amazing job...but I can see where it would seem more practical to use the forceps.

Man..compared to the last video I saw, this dr was so careful and patient in his/her work. The video I saw before this was really bad. The doc on there was just butchering the poor guy's ear in an operation and seemed to be rushing. He definitely didn't do this method with repeated liquid and suction. And when he used the suction, he was just banging around the patient's ear carelessly whereas this Doc keeps the suction thingy and ear wall contact to a minimum. I hope if I need an ear doc, I'll gets me one like this dude/lady.

be removed 10x faster if he actually had thr right tools instead of the suckered he used the whole time . he needs the one with the round end so he can get behind the ear wax and push it forward

beth winnie this way was probably a lot more comfortable for the patient rather than scraping the edges of the ear constantly

Miranda Cabrera exactly! When I was 12 or 13 I was having sever ear pain. Turns out the tubes had put in my ear as a little kid never fell out. Instead they got stuck in my ear canal and they became imbedded with wax. I now have scars along the inside of ears from my dr scraping them out. Also this girl is awake and he was close to her ear drum so if he used the hook and she moved by accident he could do major damage to her ear drums
