Or just don’t study, play video games all night, sleep through half of your classes, don’t go to the other half of them, cram the night before with energy drinks and pain, and graduate! Or don’t be like me. Being like me might not be the best idea. XD

@ I got all sorts of grades. Got an A in differential equations, got a C in Statics. Got a C in Calc 2, but an easy A in Calc 3. A in Dynamics, B in Strength of Materials, C in Thermodynamics. Results may vary depending on which university you’re attending. Mine was middle of the road. No MIT, GA Tech, or Cal Tech, but it was great based on the teaching if you cared to learn. Except for Machine Design. I literally don’t remember anything about that class. It’s a black hole in my memory because of the awful prof(s). I wish I remembered more about it since it was likely useful information for what I do now, but there’s nothing in my brain to remember lol.

@@dashingclasher I just didn’t put my GPA on my resume and got a job less than 2 months out of college, and that was during the height of the Big Coof. If you can interview well, have side projects to show off, or have things to compensate, your GPA will only get you maybe a 40%-50% better starting job. After your first job, almost JP one cares about GPA. Just don’t lie on your resume, be likable, and be able to back up whatever skill sets you have and you’ll have a huge increase in the likelihood of most places hiring you. GPA really just gets you a bit more choice on where you start out. If holding straight A’s is a huge strain on mental or physical health, then just know that a 4.0 means almost nothing in terms of career prospects after 5-10 years after graduation. It’ll be an achievement for sure, but if that personal goal isn’t worth the hassle for you, then it’s WORTH getting B’s and even some C’s to be able to enjoy your college years. Also, what’s even worse about my situation is that I didn’t really even get to enjoy college. I had a few close friends in the dorm, played video games, became SUPER depressed, went through a rough breakup, and stayed depressed until the millisecond I got out. I hated school from 4th grade through the end of college. College was BARELY worth it and I didn’t even go into debt for it (except to my parents who SAY they want the money back, but it hasn’t been brought up since graduation so idk lol). Anyway, all of this to say enjoy it as much as you can while holding yourself to as high of a standard as you feel is necessary. It’s not worth the squeeze to aim for perfection in a system that doesn’t give you maximal benefit. It would be better to slack on a class or two per semester and use the extra time for a little bit of fun and learning actual skills that point you in the direction you want to end up. Go learn Solidworks, AutoCAD, 3D printing, machining, entrepreneurship, PERSONAL FINANCE and how to actually use your money better, or literally anything else that will help your future self. You can never know too much about personal finance and how to use your money to make more money. High-Yield savings, Bonds, ETFs, Stocks, IRA’s, Roth IRA’s, 401k’s, interest rates, credit cards and how to not be in debt forever. 👍

I worked full time while doing my CS degree full time. It was tough, but definitely doable. There were days I had to stay after class to work on stuff with teachers, or go to tutor hours, but I did it. If I can, you can.
