What did Jung mean by that? Everyone's interpretation plz Personally, the darkness sounds like Freud's subconsciousness and making it more conscious through psychoanalysis, but I'm sure there's a lot more to it.

Feeling them, caring for them, understanding them and finally integrating them. This leads to a general feeling of oneness with ourselves and the world. There is less impulsive, destructive behavior and more healing and understanding. It means going through the dark valley of ourselves that we are afraid of. Then the darkness that we feared will become the beauty of the night. Our biggest foe becomes our strongest ally.
