John Kolb's 2020 PA Archery season started out extremely slow. He was having trouble getting on doe groups or having any luck with buck sightings. He was focusing on areas that historically produce good archery hunting in PA. These areas were mostly void of deer. He figured out that these areas had a week acorn crop due to a late frost in Lycoming County and a summer drought that caused our oaks to drop a month early. He changed his strategy to focus on creek bottoms with good browse and quickly found deer. John then harvested a buck on his last day of his vacation.
