Serial killers are known to compartmentalize their lives. This pile of dung committed his crimes when his family was away, even out of the country. Other families of serial killers had no idea whatsoever that their Dad &/or husband was a killer. The wife of Gary Ridgeway the Green River killer said he was a sweet, attentive husband who often brought her gifts and flowers for no reason. Kerri Rawson, (read her book), Denis Rader (BTK)'s daughter finds many similarities between Rex & her Father. Her family also had ZERO idea of the sadistic killings he was into. Families just don't know.

Imo getting answers to why FBI halted it's investigation in 2012 as Attorney John Ray's family attorney for the Gilbert family also matters to getting to the truth and justice for all victims as there appears to be more than 1 serial killer based on MO. But there has to be a willingness to do so no matter how uncomfortable it gets.

Two things: 1) Something that always rattles around my brain when someone gets arrested for a crime like this is not empathy in the sense of "feeling for them" but moreso thinking about my own life like...imagine if you're going about your business living your life and then somebody just came...plucked you out of it, put you in prison and you know that you're NEVER gonna see your own home again? Never gonna go to work again? Never gonna have the life you've lived again? I mean, this isn't empathy for people like him bc that's the bet you took when you took these women away from THEIR lives. What happened to them is not even that they're never gonna see their homes again but that they're never gonna take a breath again. It's just wild to think about is all and my brain can't help but think about it. 2) I wonder why people on suicide watch can't have a paperback book or something? Again, this is just me thinking about what *I* would do in a cell 24/7 with nothing in it. I would think that the likelihood of somebody being able to do something with a paperback book to hurt themselves is low and maybe it would work as a pacifier of sorts to keep that person calm and occupied. I guess though they've thought of that and ruled it out for various reasons that I wouldn't have experience to know.
