Actually, dopamine is the hormone of pleasure, serotonin is the hormone of happiness. I have seen a lot of people confuse these two so I am just kinda throwing it out there. There are also these bunches of hormones called endorphins that control stress relief, happiness, and pleasure all at once. The endorphins that do this are specifically called beta-endorphins. I hope that this helped to broaden your understanding of hormonology.

In lay man terms: Carbohydrates (which includes sugar) gives energy Proteins gives growth and mass in muscles Fats are stored extra energy Vitamins and mineral are essential for specific regions in the body (like calcium for bones and muscles, iodine for the thyroid gland) This was basically what my 6th grade science teacher taught us, of course there are further complexities in these nutrients as you continue your studies

If u didnt understand , ill explain in basic english: When kids eat sugar, their parents are thinking theyte about to go hyper, so they examine them, finding things that there aren't there. Also, when kids eat sugar, theyre probably already in a fun place, so they're hyper
@hamidsafdar12197 ай бұрын
Kinda the opposite on the first point. Not that they notice things that arent there, but they notice their normal behaviours moreso. Like how if someone says something isnt normal that u previously thought was, you would tend to look out for things more Sry if this wasnt tht clear lol

Also when parents repeat the myth of sugar causing hyperactivity, kids subconsciously act hyper because they think sugar makes them hyper, like a placebo or something.

My parents have let me eat sweet sugary foods when i was a kid. My mom never hid it from me(remember this), and now, when I'm 15, I actually began disliking candies and other confectionary other than black, almost pure chocolate. I even drink coffee straight. My parents never prohibited me and I never ate too much. But now I see other little kids consuming too much sugar and that makes me mad. What makes me even more mad is I can't help kids eat less sugar like with myself. Kids are really difficult to convince in something. Plus, they've got their parents. So I try to not care. P.s. FOR THE PARENTS: *Your child's brain needs a thing called glucose. Sugar contains it. As long as your child is active mentally and physically, sugar is also safe. But don't hide sweets from your kids. That makes them eat even more candies.*

One time, when I was probably 5 or 6(?) my older sister’s friend saw a scene in a movie or show (don’t remember what movie or show it was) where one of the characters gave the little sister a spoonful of sugar and it made her super hyper, so they tested it on me and I pretended to be super hyper, running around the house, and just ended up getting really tired. So that was fun 💀

There was a guy who did a test. He ran 2 parties and gave the first party very low sugar drinks. He said to their parents however that the drinks contained high sugar. He then gave the second party very high sugar drinks and said that they had low sugar. The parents of the first party said that their kids acted hyperactive yet they had less sugar compared to the second party. And the parents of the second party said that their kids acted normal even though they had a lot more sugar
