Excellent video, good info on the grading filter needed, 1mm. Good to know the sugar feeds without the dust. Thank you.

Yes it works well. I actually use 2mm filter for large batches. 1mm filter is good for small Bach. It takes a long time to grind with 1mm filter. 2mm works fine

@@silverlakeadventure Ian has feeder plugs on the top of all the hives. The stacks of pallets have about 4 inches of space. It's possible. Truth is he desperately needs it

Yes. I have seen his videos. You are right. I didn't think of feeder plugs. The bags would be out of the hives instead on top of the frames. I get it now

I purchased this on Ebay. Just enter grain mill grinder and you will find it. Replacement screen is $14 also from Ebay

Interesting can't argue the results.. what kinda mixer is that? Does it work on pollen sub ?

This is Vevor 30qt horizontal dough mixer. It works perfectly for patties. Yes it works on pollen sub. I use to use 20pt vertical mixer but this new one works a lot better. Thank you

I bought some F1 VP last year and they were washing zeros in oct no treatments were done until Christmas I did oav treatment...these are instrumental inseminated so I'll have F1s in June.. about the time we get started queen rearing

I got it from Ebay. I don't think there is specific brand. Just search for grain mill grinder and you will see it. You can also find it at your local feed store. They are all about the same

I made a small batch (10 lbs.) of ground sugar using a 28,000 rpm machine and mixed it with honey. I used a Kitchen Aid for blending and I have a question. How do you know what ratio of honey to sugar to use. I put in 8 lbs of sugar and 2 1/2 lbs of honey. It seems a little runny. Will it stiffen up after a few days like pollen patties? I put one baggie on a hive today but cut the slits on the top side just in case it would run out of the bag.

I think you used too much honey. I usually put honey around 20% of the batch or less. On 8 lbs of powder sugar I would use max 1.5lbs of honey.

@@silverlakeadventure I think you are right, I made them a little to soft. But I put one on a hive Monday and checked them on Wednesday and they are eating it real nicely. I left the openings on top so it wouldn't drip in between the frames. Thanks for the tips.

Got it on Ebay. This is description Rite Farm Products Replacement 1mm Sieve Plate for feed and grain grinding mill. But you can also buy it at your local feed store

Ok so I ordered the same mill off eBay how do I order a 1:mm screen?

I would wait until you receive the grinder and try 2mm first. 1mm is very fine powder but it takes a while to grind. I think 2mm works fine too. If you still want to order 1mm just enter grain mill grinder 1mm replacement screen and it will come up. Thanks
