Leonard had a short but very impressive career. What he did in 40 fights is far more superior than most boxers with a much bigger numbers of fights and longer career. Hell, I would not even shy in saying he's competition is superior to Pacquiao. Few boxers had as impressive resume as Leonard in their first 40 fights.

For you young boxers, Norton said that Leonard’s style was similar to Ali’s. This is true. Ali’s style was similar to Ray Robinson, the truly great fighter of the fifties. Ray Leonard’s style uses a lot of Sugar Ray Robinson, if you go watch Ray Robinsons fights you will see Leonard’s moves. Sugar Ray Robinson was unique, original ,unmistakable,, Champion.

Leonard put on one hell of a performance. Marcotte had good head movement but Leonard just had that superior hand speed. I had the fight 70-63 for Leonard thru the 7th. Good display of his skill
