Wow! I have been making rubber stamped cards for 25-30 years, and I have NEVER seen this amazing technique! Can’t wait to try it! Thank you SO much for sharing it! Hi Natalie, Martina’s a sweetheart for sharing ❤️❤️ Glad you like it. If you do it on black card stock remember if the colours are translucent they’ll just go glossy but the glitter will be embedded. Hello Lovely Marion, I so Love your stunningly beautifull creativity. I have only just found your channel on my feed bless. I haven't stopped watching all these stunning creations with embossing powders, I never thought to use in this way. I started Scrapbooking and Art Journaling with mixed media and Breaking A Blank Page. I learnt how to make and create Journals from scratch and learnt the art of traditional bookbinding. I use my embossing Powders on chipboard pieces and metal embelishments. I am truly inspired with all these creations your making here, I have an idea for my autumn and winter cards also for Christmas, as I usually bring my watercolours to play but mmmmm gonna have to get a winter and fall colour palette of embossing powders. Are you in UK? Enjoying watching and listening to you whilst studying bless. Thank you for sharing and inspiring. Have you an Etsy store? Are you on Instagram hun? Sending Love n Hugs. I came across this technique whilst searching for something new to try. I'm using Heat It Up! powders and Heat It Up! heat gun, which doesn't have the speed as your tool. I just can't get it to work .. I try to peel it from the parchment paper, it's brittle and breaks. What could I be doing wrong? I've tried using a thickish and thinnest amount of powder. Please Marion, can you or anyone help? Thank you in advance

Hi Sharon, unfortunately, not all embossing powders are the same. I only ever use the WOW powders and prefer the Primary range to the embossing glitters. But that’s personal preference 🥰 I really don’t like to dis other brands, but I have heard others say this brand doesn’t work the same for this technique. The more powder the better. If you can’t get WOW, try Ranger, Hero Arts or Stampendous. I know these to be good brands. Although I have to say I’ve not tried them.. 🙈🙈🙈 I don’t want you buying something that doesn’t work 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I love all of your techniques you are introducing here but have a question to the one when you emboss directly to the paper. How do you get rid off the slightly warped paper? I mean, how do you get it straight again so that you don’t have a warped card? Crafty hugs from Carmen, 63, from Germany 🇩🇪
@marionemberson
@marionemberson Жыл бұрын
Hi Carmen, the card warps with heat and moisture, but eventually is flattens out, you can speed this up by putting something heavy on it, I hope that helps 🥰🥰🥰

Okay, tried it last night. Learned something - Deli Paper is NOT the same as parchment paper. LOL Parchment paper works just like in your video. Deli Paper does not. I save what I had done by soaking the backing off, but definitely not the same.
@marionemberson

Hi Phyllis, I’m not familiar with Deli paper but I would think it has some form of coating on it, to prevent oils etc getting through, I tried wax paper once, that didn’t work either 🤣🤣🤣🥰🥰🥰

I did not have much success with this technique. Do I need to get specific kind of embossing powder or can I use any embossing power? Thick or regular? My heating tool died while I was trying to do this. :( Help!
@marionemberson
@marionemberson Жыл бұрын
Hi, I’ve only used the WOW embossing powders, but I don’t see why good quality ones wouldn’t do the job. I generally use regular grade powder unless I’m adding in a bit of ultra high. Did you keep letting the heat tool come up for air, I do mention that. If you don’t it will over heat, I really hope that helps 🥰🥰🥰
