I realize this was posted over a decade ago. He's currently touring with Switchfoot and Blue October. I was there for Blue October, but after the show, I went back to the merch booth and picked up a Matt Nathanson shirt. I have a very small list of artists I make a point of going to see in concert. After three songs, my list of three artists had become four. Great music, and he himself is very entertaining as he talks with and interacts with the crowd between songs.

Genius of songwriting (or any painting, script, sculpture) is the artist's intent gives license for the listener to visit the artist's mind. I equate this performance with spirituality.... not so weird really for a Quaker like me.
