I appreciate your yoga mat reviews so much! I bought a sugarmat travel mat (specifically dream catcher red) and I am very very disappointed in the print. It’s extremely grainy and not beautiful at all up close. Looks great on Instagram, reality isn’t so pretty. Just wanted to share my experience for anyone looking at this specific mat. Thanks again!!

I have been binge watching all your yoga mat reviews since yesterday. You really do just a great job of explaining the differences based on the criteria that you go over. So helpful! I have a daily practice and have been using cheap mats for a few years due to financial constraints. But now I have saved up the money for a good mat. I’m so tempted by the Sugarmat or Lifeforme, but I’ll probably go for the Mandela Pro. It just seems like a good investment for the long term. It will be interesting to see how well this one holds up over time. Thank you for all these reviews!

The Manduka Pro really is a great mat and you'll have it for life (just remember to break it in first -> kzbin.info/www/bejne/pamkhqGCe69ob6c) However I will say that both the Sugarmat and Liforme and also good and as you probably noticed, very beautiful mats. But if you're looking for a long term investment, then go for the Manduka Pro :-)

Thanks for the review! I was considering buying a 5mm sugar mat for travel. I have a Manduka Pro so such a bummer they’re both similar in weight. Also your hair is so cute!!

Thank you for the comment! I'm a bit more used to my hair now :-) Yes this one is the same weight as the Manduka Pro, however if you still want a Sugarmat check out their 3mm ones which are lighter.

do not buy from sugar mat. this company will NOT ship your mat. I, like many others, have purchased this mat and NEVER got it. Mutliple emails, IG messages and trying to contact SM with no reply!

So the question is sugarmat or bmat? Does the suede top fade faster than an entire rubber mat like bmat? 🤔 oh these mats are so beautiful though!

Ok so I've now had the Bmat for a few months and the top surface is showing some wear and tear. I haven't had this mat for long enough but I think the Sugarmat will last longer.. However, if you are looking for a mat for life then you can't go wrong with the Manduka Pro. Hope that helps!!

@@AlexiaKYoga hi, I already ordered the bmat but I appreciate the input! Sugarmat was sold out and it was frustrating to try an find one in stock. As for the M. Pro I’ve heard a lot about slipping and the price was a little out of my range. I don’t do yoga everyday so I’m hoping the bmat will last longer for me. Thank you!

Hai, Alexia. Thank you for your review on this mat. I have a question i do outdoor yoga a lot and sweat a lot. My problem with PU rubber is the sweat stain and the dust stain. By any chance, is the stain clearly visible on the mat and also is it easy to remove the stain with your tutorial? thank you

Good question! If you sweat a lot and want a a durable mat that doesn’t stain then I’m thinking a good option could be a Manduka Pro with a cotton yoga towel on top. The Manduka Pro is super durable and you can just wash the cotton towel in the washing machine when you’re done. I hope that helps!

Such a unique pattern on that mat! I have a problem collecting yoga mats and I didn’t know about this one. I’m also interested in the Manduka GRP series. I tend to like plain mats to minimize distraction but this mat is so gorgeous! Thanks for your thorough review.

You are so welcome! Yes my main mat is the black Manduka Pro so this one was very different to what I was used to. But it really was. a pleasure to practice on :-)

Hi there, Alexia! I love your videos; they have helped me through my yoga journey. I'm a practitioner in Greece so i was wondering where i can get this insanely beautiful Sugarmat, considering all this new VAT and Customs policy. I'm currently using a Niyamas Gaja which i absolutely love, but i am really tempted to try the Sugarmat. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks :)

Hi Pano! Ok just replied you to on insta :-) I see that most of their mats are sold out unfortunately.. If you want a similar mat (but ok not as pretty), you could try Liforme (fave.co/3ZYMC1p) or Alo Warrior (fave.co/3ThcaEX). Hope that helps!

It really is beautiful! This one I have has a silky surface, like the Liforme and it feels great to practice on! I don’t know about the suede one, but I’m sure it would feel nice to practice on too. My cat loves to join me on my mat but he never scratches it!

This one has a smooth surface, so it feels like the Liforme. I think you have the one that has better grip when it's slightly wet?

I love all your reviews. I'm considering buying this one or Liforme. But I read a lot of reviews that Liforme absorbs everything so make your mat stained and dirty. And some wear and tear signs where you usually put your hands and feet. How is this Sugarmat after a year of used? Is it same with Liforme? Thanks, Alexia.

(sorry for late reply) the truth is that the Liforme and Sugarmat and very similar and so I would expect them to have similar wear and tear. The main difference between my mats is that my Liforme is white and shows all stains, while my Sugarmat has so many patterns and so it hides wear and tear more. Both are still great after having them for about a year. Hope that helps!

To tell you the truth, I find both of them to be very similar. If you want the safer option, go for the Liforme as it is the bigger brand and more people have been using it. However, I will say that they felt very similar to practice on!
