We all know that we can't stop aging but still, most of us want to delay the signs of aging so we try all the "antiaging" skincare, procedures and devices hoping for the best, and to be honest, I sometimes find it exhausting. But, do these things work? I think a lot of them do but only to a certain extent.

What is wrong with aging gracefully? I am older, 65 can’t fake a younger me. When people look into my eyes all I want them to see is love, compassion and mercy. I do not care about the sagging and lines.

There are some aspects of aging that are not graceful at all, like jowls, eye bags, turkey wattle, and brown spots. Aside from this, the truth is that aging signifies two things: A) We are no longer fertile, hence no longer desirable; B) It brings us closer to death. I don't mind the first, but the realization that I have a lot more past than future (especially in terms of useful years) coupled with health issues that are only going to get worse is not an easy pill to swallow-pun intended on Nisha's comment that we would ALL take that pill to make us younger. Sure, it beats the alternative! But let's stop pretending that we should "embrace" aging, or that we can age "gracefully." I hate delusion and hypocrisy.

Thank you for making this video. I started watching you several years ago due to your hooded eye makeup tutorials and felt I could actually follow along and watch the fabulous tips and tricks you would use years back to make such a big difference. As time went by you started doing filler and botox to the point that I was no longer able to learn anything due to the fact your hooded eyes changed and found you really no longer relatable to women such as myself who had not been using botox or fillers. I found this video to be very refreshing. Thank you Nisha❤

I basically could have said all this myself and I'm only 45. I am sick of this "anti-aging" industry, we cannot anti-age. We can only age well. I am on HRT (Estrogen gel) and honestly, it's not improved my skin at all, sadly. Thank you for your honesty. I felt the same about a lot of these treatments, they are all temporary and don't last, and have a minimal (if any) difference.

Hello wonderful Nisha. I am 56 this year Nisha, my view is that I have natural silver streaks in my dark shoulder length hair. I have been and gone through menopause. I work out 4 times a week, I wear makeup, dress in slip dresses, jeans all manner of things. I wear makeup - everyday and I do this because if I didn't, well I wouldn't be me. I use anti ageing creams etc but no Botox or fillers, but I enjoy hearing about it from you Nisha and anyone else that is brave enough to participate as I find it fascinating! I don't look how a 56 year old woman should apparently, whatever a 56 year should look like!? I don't look my age even if I say so myself and I certainly don't act like it. I have lines on my face that tell a story to my life, every crows feet line is from a tear that has been of sadness, laughter and sunny holidays filled with memories and my tummy is the result of two beautiful children. My husband still thinks I am sexy and sees me as he did 25 years ago, he has aged like a fine wine and is a silver fox! Age is a privilege that not everyone gets, my school friend passed 3 days ago and it makes you think of your own mortality. If I am growing old disgracefully and its a term I don't care for either, what's the alternative to have regrets when you are bedridden, no thanks! If a lady wants to grow old gracefully or naturally whatever its called, fair play but I will still be using my anti ageing creams and dressing (like Nisha) up until I am in my 80s if I get that far 💋

I so appreciate everything you've done to try products and give us your opinion on their efficacy; however, your honesty on how you feel now with it being possibly a waste of time to have so many items on our vanities and the exhausting chase to 'anti-age' which like you say, is only for as long as you use whichever product. I too have been feeling so overwhelmed and exhausted with the anti aging rituals and agree that it should be called 'aging gracefully' or something to that affect. We'll put our best self out there, healthy and happy and taking good care of ourselves with whichever skin care routine works for us. I love your channel and everything you've done for all of us with your encouragement, product reviews, fun chats, etc. You are AWESOME! Love ya! 😊

I feel you. I’m 65 and age is now really starting to show. I was always younger looking than my age. I still am, but I definitely look over 50. I think at some point you have to accept that we age like a flower wilts and fades, still beautiful in a way, but not young. I also found over 60 that I’m ok being older. I’m a grandma and empty nester and I am so happy with my friends and family. We laugh about aging “old age isn’t for sissies”. I am thankful my health is still pretty good. Faith in God and a belief in heaven where youth will be restored and joy is eternal helps. These bodies of ours do age and die. It’s hard to see that. God bless and love yourself. I'm in my 60s, never had anything done at all, have tried a few products and yes some work better than others, but the best thing I have found is castor oil, I cannot believe the difference it makes, don't take my word for it, check out all the women on here raving about the benefits. The main issue that a lot of eye creams don't tackle is the eyelid fine lines, that is one of my concerns and they are so much lesser since using castor oil and I don't even use it everyday or even that regularly. I use it either plain or with glycerine and vitamin E mixed in. I live in Australia and very rarely have I ever worn SPF, I won't go into it. The only time I wear it is if I know I will be out in the sun for an extended period of time, but the general walking around shops or out for short periods I will never wear it. Most people don't believe my age and get confused when I talk about my childhood and the years, because they don't think I'm my age. I wouldn't take that pill Nisha because I don't like to take any medication hahaha. Good luck if you do get an eyelift, just ensure you see other results from your plastic surgeon, most people I see (who can afford the very best) look plastic or so completely different and odd, but I'm not as brave and would be devastated if it didn't turn out.

I totally agree, I am nearly 76 years old and don't have a wrinkle on my face even round my eyes and my hands do not look my age, I have been using castor oil daily for at least 25 years, I wash my hair in black castor oil shampoo, although I have let my hair go grey it is a very light shade of grey and still quite thick and shiny. Castor oil is not expensive and works wonders without breaking the bank. I started using castor oil because a woman I used to work with told me she was retiring at the end of the month because she was 65, I along with others was shocked, she looked my age which was 50 at the time, I bought castor oil on my way home that day and have used ever since, with fantastic results. I also took up yoga two years later and have enjoyed doing it for the last 23 years, it allows me to play with my Grandchildren and enjoy life without pain and stiffness. There is a lot on KZbin about castor oil and yes ladies it does work, 😅

I don’t use hrt replacement but that’s just my choice. I am in your camp. I have scaled down to the essentials you mentioned and now realize that when and if I ever decide on expensive medical treatments surgery is where the answer is. All the thousands of dollars spent on fillers, in office procedures etc… surgery is the only real and lasting fix. I think to each her own with this aging journey. Hi Nisha: Very informative video. Aging is definitely a bummer. I think we all want to look as good as we can which then gives us the confidence to feel great. I think this feeling then radiates itself in the way we act, treat others, etc. So, if helping ourselves to look good and feel good about ourselves has a trickle down effect to others, why not! I really appreciate you laying out the basics of what works for you and should work for us and explaining the other procedures/processes. There are some items in your basic routine that I am currently not doing and I would like to try so I really appreciate the information. I agree with you about men and aging. I think in so many cases, as men age, they look more distinguished and confident which is very attractive. Thanks so much for all that you do for us!

Hi Nisha! I've never had any treatment except liquid nitrogen for age spots! I've always been afraid of treatments and I don't think I'll ever use them! The biggest problem for me is under the eyes. But I know I'll never have plastic surgery because it's not 100% guaranteed to be successful. If you look at American actresses who often have surgery, and who can afford the best doctors, the results are often not very conclusive. However, I'm very persistent and consistent when it comes to applying my products. I've had a routine for about ten years now that's always the same, with the same products. I've always bought inexpensive brands and I've had great results. Over the years, I've added retinol and I knew that the real results would only be seen after 7 months. I've been patient and I've seen a marked improvement! I don't think my results would have been the same if I'd changed brands more often! What I am sure of today is that we can have more beautiful skin at a lower cost! And if I had to choose just one ingredient, it would be sunscreen! If a person starts applying sunscreen every day at a very early age....he can avoid a lot of damage in the future! Have a great weekend! xxx

I had a facial expert tell me they would do a dozen peels first and then the Lazer on my chest It clued me to just peel my own chest . I started with glycolic and built up to stronger chemical peels over time . I purchased them myself used a fan blowing on my chest and just kept brushing over the chest to keep the pain of burning to not hurt as much Rinse with baking soda solution and let it peel over days. I let it dry up without using cremes so it would peel faster .

I am now in my 80’s and I don’t spend a lot on skin care but I have spent money on the Omnilux face, chest and hands red lights. I also have a NuFace which I also use. I get many compliments on my skin but I truly feel the most important part of skin care is sunscreen! Some of my friends don’t wear it and they have many lines and brown spots on their faces. Someone asked me why I was applying sunscreen since I wasn’t going outside, but I have had 2 pre cancerous spots so I feel that wearing sunscreen everyday is required! I don’t think I am using any skin care that cost more than $25-30 dollars and I feel they are working. Thanks!

I have found a newish channel on KZbin that I think may give you a better idea of castor oil, especially with sun damage etc. I really hope this helps because castor oil is absolutely magic for us older ladies. I‘m in my early 40s. I like to look put together but that’s about it. I‘m even kind of relieved that I don’t have to compete with young girls anymore. I stopped dying my hair (my mom had lymphoma cancer and she dyed her hair for ages). I use minimal makeup. I started to pay attention more to how I dress, e.g colour analysis, higher quality garments, etc. I only use jojoba oil on my skin. I feel my age and I feel fine. I actually enjoy to be a mature woman.

I’m 64 and have never had any fillers. I did Botox but it really didn’t do much for me. I too have hooded eyes and they have really gotten worse since turning 60. The little bags you say appear under your eyes every so often will become more often with each year. If you don’t get enough sleep or under stress you will really notice it. I’m on the fence about getting my eyes done as I feel like you do, that it’s my forehead that needs to be lifted, but then if you do that part of your face, you almost need to do the whole face. You look great with or without makeup, but I do love your makeup look. I’m becoming resigned to the fact that I can’t turn back the years. It’s a painful awakening because I’ve fought against aging and will continue to do so, but there’s no stopping the hands of time no matter what we do.

I think most of us would love to take a pill and be 10 years younger, but would we be any happier? Looking younger is not just about your face. I feel it's about being a healthy weight, doing weight bearing exercise to build muscle and bone density, wearing flattering clothes and makeup etc... Social media just feeds our insecurities about looking older, just aim to look the best you can and smile and accept the changes. ❤

I don't care enough to have my face cut on or have needles poked into it. I do use Merle Norman anti aging skin care off and on. Sometimes I get lazy about it but when I use it I can tell there is a difference especially in the eye area. Having seen so many Hollywood celebrities and women that are on The Real Housewives t.v. series, most of them look plastic and they really look like blow fish. I think they would have been better off not getting those surgeries. They all have that "wide spread" look and like someone busted them in the mouth. I would rather age gracefully doing what I can with skincare, shorter hair cuts, maybe with clothes and exercise to look more youthful. I'm 55 and I am at peace with aging. I'd rather look my age than look like a blowfish.😃

I’m 62 and recovering well from an upper eye lift. The surgeon was an Ophthalmologist and insurance paid for it. I was falling forward when walking on a ramp or going downstairs. Also, had trouble driving, especially at night. Couldn’t wear eye makeup bcuz the extra skin covered my lashes. When I went to get my vision checked, I was referred for surgery. Atlantic Eye Institute in Jacksonville, FL Dr. Samara (he also does lower eye skin). I am walking stable now. Driving day and after dark without problems. Also, I look years younger. Highly recommend both the surgery and have an Ophthalmologist do it.

Hi Nisha, I couldn't agree more. I have a crazy amount of skin care that I alternate using. I am faithful and use skincare each night and day, but it feels as if I am fighting a losing battle. Aging gracefully is the goal, but I want to make my skin look and feel its best. The one device I have not purchased is the LED mask. I am ready to purchase it, because of what you said about it not disturbing the fat in our faces. And you are so right that the amount of money we spend to feel good about ourselves is just awful. A couple of months ago, I lost my job. That really put this particular topic into focus for me. I am looking for one or two "go to" tools I can use along with a scaled down skin care routine. This video helped greatly and I am so thankful you did it! Thank you for your honesty and plain talk about things all or most women are going through! Hugs and kisses to little Louis! I agree, I am one to buy so many skin care products. I use vaseline more so now as my mom did and at 91 she had looked 20 years younger. But again as you said it's genes too and lifestyle. I do face exercises but again as you say unless you keep up on it, it will revert back. So frustrating! But we are all in the same boat unless it's surgery. PS Wayne Goss had a video out maybe two years ago about puffy eyes and it was due to the creams he was using. I had it happen as well and realized I was using too many also.

Genes! Need I say more? I’m seeing my age (69) in my neck but my face has absolutely no lines or wrinkles. I do my best in skincare but I’m not obsessed. I have filler in my lips because they are thin and as we age there is that old saying “you eat your lips” not literally, they just seem to disappear. I wear light makeup everyday for myself to feel better and a little self pride. I agree with all the KZbin videos with all the $$$ gadgets…not doing it. What about our bodies at this age? No one talks about strength training and excercise. 🤔 SO vital!

Hi Nisha. I absolutely cant stand aging especially the neck and hands which no plastic surgery can fix/hide. I was just telling my husband as I was watching your most recent video "her neck is way nicer than mine." He is beyond patient. I am lousy at skin care but always have drank alot of 💧 water.I am constantly in awe and adore actresses who have chosen not to do plastic surgery and accept aging. Im also enthralled with actresses who have plastic facial surgery and I want it, all. My husband does not want me getting any surgery, he wishes I would see what he sees and always says how beautiful I am. The sun damage when I was in my twenties/tanning beds and baking for hours in the sun, no SPF as I thought I was Wonder Woman is now a painful reminder, too. I am blessed with good genes, being athletic, loving the gym but that changed since 2010 and Covid. I agree, men just look better as they age and we women are held to the highest expectations of what beauty, is. I thank you for being so transparent on your eyes. I hope you dont get the surgery as I think you look beautiful as everyone else but that is obviously your personal choice I would slap down a fortune and get my eyes done, teeth... Btw, I had an acid peel when I was in my twenties. I had Botox before Covid. I couldn't take the facial pain. Thank you again for your wonderful and candid talks. We women are so hard on ourselves. I am blessed with such a supportive husband/family. I pray your dog is doing well. We get our babies back, today. Pets dont care what we look like, they live in the moment and just want love cuddles. Thank you Nisha for helping so many women love themselves, more and being so honest of how cruel aging can be, if you let it. My humble opinion. God Bless 🙏

Nisha, I think you are a very attractive lady. I did not notice that you had no eye makeup. In fact, today I thought you had opted for a very minimal younger and fresh-faced look. As you said, so much depends on the type of skin we have. If you have thin skin, any change shows up quickly. We just have to do the best we can with what our parents gave us at birth. Spring will soon be here and our spirits (albeit not our skin) will be lifted. 😄

Two I use every morning-- HA & collagen. The other 3 are Vit C EGF, Lactic Acid and Resveratrol Ferulic Acid. I only apply 1 per night. Doing all 3 would make me crazy. Lastly, Tretinoin every 3rd night. I do think my face is plumper- not as gaunt. I'm 63. The Ordinary and Inkey List from Sephora are my go to's. Very affordable.

Thank you for such a fantastic video. You have summed up what I am starting to believe. I have spent a lot lately on anti ageing products but have to stop myself because at the end of the day while we do our best to look after ourselves and avoid sun damage that has to be enough. When we look at older generations all they used were moisturisers but not spending a fortune like we do now. I also try to think about people that are perhaps disabled or very ill, I’m sure anti aging products are the last thing on their minds, so if I can remember what’s important, putting other people first, rather than thinking about the way I look then I’ll be happier, instead of fighting the losing battle of preventing aging and feeling miserable.

Nisha, perioral dermatitis can be healed quickly with low dose of doxycycline. I get it like at least once a year, that clears it up in like a week, but you keep taking it for at least a month. Also, it is aggravated toothpaste. Never use cortisone, it will make it spread everywhere. Stuff is so annoying.

This may sound crazy but thought I'd share just in case it helps someone. I have been using 100 percent cold-pressed hexane-free castor oil as a last step in my night-time routine for almost a month and I am seeing results. I apply it to my eyelids and undereye area, to my 11's, my forehead lines, my marionette lines and my neck atop my other regular skincare. I am late 50's and have noticed increased dark circles and puffiness under my eyes in the last few years, particularly my right eye for some reason. It is slow going, but there is definitely improvement happening and even my husband has noticed. The dark circles are lightening and the puffiness is almost completely gone. I know castor oil can seem thick and sticky but it truly absorbs fully by morning. I think you are gorgeous with and without eyeshadow but we are all our own worst critics sometimes. Cheers from Canada. Sandy (from hubby's account)

Oh Nisha ~ So am I!!! At 62 I've just about had it with desperately trying to hold back time. The problem is I hate what time is doing to my face. I wish I was brave enough to go and get a full face and neck lift but I'm not and I couldn't justify spending that sort of money anyway. Alternatively I wish I just didn't care and could be happy or at least content, with what the years have done to me! I feel I'm scrabbling around to look half way decent and mostly failing. Maybe the answer is to stop watching beauty videos and to throw away my mirror!! Tbh I think it doesn't help that the beauty channels I watched are hosted by such attractive young looking women like yourself! I feel like a gargoyle in comparison. X

Hi Nisha, Thanku so much for this video. It's my 48th birthday this week and when I look into the mirror, all I see is lines and forehead wrinkles (I'm allergic to Octocrylene and zinc so I never used to use sunscreen, but I get depressed and ill if I don't go into the sun). My face is lifted still but losing plumpness in the cheeks... I asked my husband for the Halo for my birthday - - I feel really sad about it, because for the money, I could have had something I could enjoy. This feels like the equivalent of getting a vacuum cleaner for my birthday 😂 ...But I'm hoping it will keep me looking youthful longer... I have a 6 year old and we moved to a new area when he was 4, so I've been trying to make friends here but all the women I meet are girls in their early 30's. - - - Not a single line on their faces. I feel I need to look younger to make them like me more!! They seem obsessed with aesthetics and I do feel judged, even though a lot of it might just be in my mind. Anyway I wanted to say that I think you look younger than your actual age. I've been following you since my late 30's and I would even say you look better than your first videos! Love Jenny xx

Also, I have folds at my mouth that are called “marionette lines” that I’m going have to address soon. Aging really is not great but I always think of the alternative. Thank you for your honesty and humor. 😊

Oh Nisha, how I do comiserate with you! I was a well-known makeup artist; if I included some celebrities I used to do, even more so! When I was about 50, I began my career in film, writing, directing, producing... It is a very youth oriented industry that demands that everyone looks, feels, acts, therefore IS YOUNG. Two seconds before Covid, after a vicious battle with breast cancer, I began to notice that visible aging was taking hold. I wasn't wrinkled, though I had the expression lines in my forehead. I also started to notice the beneath the skin, marionette lines. My skin was starting to slightly lose altitude, but, I had much more serious issues to address that required my time and devotion. ( Not too mention $) Truthfully, I did NOT best keep up with my lifelong beauty routine. Now, my under eye are has two troughs. My wrinkled are beneath the skin is on the surface markedly so. I have been fanatically taking care with many actives, haven't tried any new devices, as the older king did NOTHING for me. So far, nothing helps! So, I am thinking about BOTOX, filler is very scary to me after what I have been through. As I have very dry skin, I am using much thinner foundation, relying on correcteur & concealer, but for how long. I too wear wigs, so I look younger than I am. However, I can't turn the clock back without risk anymore. Today, I am 60+. My family said, I always looked much younger than my chronological age, it was bound to catch up with me eventually! I am with you regarding everything you discussed today. The pro- aging versus antiaging labels are marketing terms only. What is needed is a less invasive way to achieve effective results but with actives that our bodies can assimilate without making us eventually sick, or heaven forbid, look worse with negative long term issues. 😢 What can we do but accept who we are?

I know we are all self critical, but you are aging AMAZINGLY and are still a beautiful, attractive woman. I think you are so pretty. I am the same age as you and I am trying to appreciate my physical looks and work with what I've got.

A lot of how well we age is in our genes. I have to say I'm less interested in appearance than in health as I approach 70. I certainly wouldn't be up for cosmetic procedures. I could get rid of every wrinkle on my face but you could still guess my age just from looking at my hands!

The Ziip is incredible and takes very little time to do. Been using microcurrent for years. I will get the facelift …. when time comes… but now a facelift is $50-100K

Nisha, hello dear! I agree with you 💯 percent that we need to choose basic care products, because they work, which you talked about, everything else is pumping money out of our budget and it’s better to spend it on treatment and rest. Everyone chooses plastic surgery personally for themselves. But this only lasts for 5 years, then the skin becomes thinner again and you have to go again, and after 4-5 years it again sags even more and again you have to cut it and so on ad infinitum. There is no panacea against aging; we are misled by promises of youth. Sports, proper daily care of the entire body, proper nutrition and lifestyle are the only things that make us energetic and help produce collagen, but this is not a panacea for old age and disease. It rather works like psychological training, and you become younger because you believe in these classes and procedures. Dear health and youth to you! Sunscreen and glasses - the sun ☀ even burns the retina of the eye. When examining my eye with a device, I have pigmentation even inside the eye. So you need to protect yourself from the sun and it would be nice to wear a summer hat with a brim to whomever it suits.❤❤❤❤❤хххх

I think it should be said, that everything in our life takes maintenance to upkeep. You can’t just eat one salad and maintain your health. You’ve got to eat well consistently. You can’t just take medication you need for one day and expect it to work permanently, you have to be consistent. Your car needs regular oil changes….. I’m sure a lot of these beauty regimens work but you of course are going to have to do them regularly and maintain them to continue seeing the benefits. I don’t necessarily think that’s a negative thing or reason to stop doing them.

I get you ! I've really cut down on everything and gone back to basics. Elimis toner, Elimis peptide serum, Elimis face oil Ordinary Lactic acid, niacinamide, Cera Ve sunscreen. Olay Retinol, it's a good one it affects my neck if I'm not careful. Had so many bottles going at one time and piled it all on. Think I've found my holy grails. I'll use my guacha and face oil while watching tv. Do like a bit if Botox on the 11's thought xx

I also have hooded eyes and finally gave up on eyeshadow. I play with more colors on my lips instead. I look fresher and younger. Less is best.
