I'm so sad to hear of Gian Luca Vialli passing today. He was such a wonderful player, and a real gentleman off the pitch. There is a moment in this video right at the end when we were recording each player singing the "Gonna be Blue" outro...and when it was Gian Luca's turn, the music ran out so he missed his turn...and the players cracked up. Such a funny moment. The smartest dressed man in the recording studio humbly responded to the laughter with a bow. Thank you for everything you gave Chelsea Luca - we will miss you so much. Mike

As football songs go, this has gotta be one of the best: it is actually a rea!ly well-crafted work, with great arrangements and an awesome chord sequemce. It helps it is so Beatlesesque it could almost be an outtake from a long-time bootleg (eaggerating slightly here, but you know what I mean). And of course, what a great time it was for Chelsea in the rear end of the '90s. Chelsea Chelsea!!!!

I was 13 and this still for me, is the best season ever. Zola was unplayable and that comeback against Liverpool made me a fan for life. (I was anyway but seeing what that result meant to my dad sinched it. My grandad died 15 days after that cup final. He died a happy man 😊)
