We praise zoos that are proactive about animal welfare and environmental enrichment,
and strongly criticize those that are passive about animal welfare and environmental enrichment,
and demand that animal welfare be implemented.
*Environmental enrichment is a measure to reduce
their mental and physical stress and have them live a happy life from the standpoint of an ape,
not from a human convenience or emotion.
Among them,
foraging enrichment (installing puzzle feeders and increasing the number of meals so that apes can lead a rich life) can be done at low cost.

I'm SO happy for Shiguru there has been a noticeable change in that he genuinely seemed so happy now since Moco came to live with he & Gin and he's been so patient kind and gentle to Moco it is a beautiful thing to watch. And thank you for sharing these videos with us. 🐵💕

今ニュースで、今年の沖縄は異常に暑い🥵といっていました。気をつけて！モコイチあんなに動いても、お腹ポンポンですね。モコイチの暴れん坊で、おじさんたちにも、きっといい刺激になってる。子供の力ってヒトもそうですけど、すごいですね。

モコイチ元気すぎー👍👍👍 治療に入る前後は成長の遅延と歩き方にすごく心配しましたね。ナツムの事もあったし。 その頃からのこの元気❗️😊 お薬もまだ続いてるのかな？今はパパとたくさんスキンシップを取ったりお勉強の期間でもありますね😊小柄でも逞しく元気に育ってね❤

Suguru seems to enjoy his new role as a grandfather - he reminds me of Charlie 🥰 Gin papa immediately went to check if Mokoichi is fine when he squeaked a bit after the scolding. Lovely guys ❤

これは、彼が非常に病気だったので、一人で育てられた「孤独な赤ちゃん」ですか?それは必ずしもうまくいくとは限らないので、彼が他のチンパンジーと一緒に暮らすことができてとてもうれしいです。彼は他のチンパンジーよりも活発なようですが、いつもこのように動いていますか？ Is this the “lonely baby” being raised alone because he was very sick? So glad he was able to live with other chimps because that does not not always work out. He seems more active than other chimps, is he always moving like this?

Yes, he was not well due to his illness and his growth was slow, but now he is getting better every day. Mokoichi plays happily with Gin and Suguru every day.

So cool to see suguru discipline like that 🤙🏽, the kids gotta learn sooner or later, his mischievousness reminds me of ibuki, who seems like he’s going through some growing (learning) pains himself 😂good to see though a little discipline makes it exciting 🎉
