Watched almost all ODI's between 2003 and 2007 (including this one) live! Transman rivalrly was at its peak in those days. Aus would always score big runs, and NZ chased it down more often than not!

Brendan McCallum is a class act. He and his New Zealand team, played hard, positive entertaining cricket, but always within the spirit of the game and with a generosity of spirit towards opponents who played well against them. A much missed player.

That's half of Mccullum's career. Batting at no. 7,8,9 and playing ONLY as a wonderful keeper who could finish the innings on a high. Then the 158* happened and the burden of expectations hampered him so much. When he finally got the hang of it, he DID succeed. The Mccullum of 2013-2016 was magnificent. 4 double centuries, 1 triple and a world cup final. Magnificent human being. Magnificent captain. I just hope he starts taking T20 league cricket seriously again. Because he is NOT right now and he's being dropped from IPL and PSL. Even stripped of BBL's captaincy and just scored 4 of 2 in the first match this year. Just hope he plays for 2-3 years more. Maybe retire at 40? Just give us fans (no.1 fan here myself btw) a wonderful final years! :)
