Nothing like seeing the blues being played in front of row upon row of lefties. It's like I'm watching an alternative reality series! Great stuff, Shane, and way to go Jerry!

The tone and playability of this guitar was off the charts good. Let me know if you've played a Suhr guitar before. This was a total monster and out-played most thinlines I've tested so far! 🛒Jerry's Lefty Guitars - www.jerrysleftyguitars.com 🛒 Right-Handed Option - guitar-center.pxf.io/qnKW0b 🛒Hot Rod Deluxe - imp.i114863.net/zakDKO (affiliate links)

I’ve owned a few Suhrs and still have a carve top standard. Also have used Suhr pickups in other guitars, including the Andy Wood signature set for tele. Top notch American custom shop. Customer service is 2nd to none.

Hi Shane, been watching your channel for sometime now and love it! Now with regard to this episode, gotta say to my ears that's one of the better sounding guitars I've heard you play. Would be cool to hear it through your Marshall for a better comparison but hey. Look forward to more episodes from you.

GR8 sounding axe. I think that split 'bridge' isn't! I think it's split both, after both hum bucking. It had that plinky sound of 2 parallel pick ups. GOOD demo! \m/

I love Suhr guitars .I tried out one a few years ago but I couldn’t afford it . I wish I had bought a Suhr rather than my PRS .

I picked up a right handed Suhr Alt T in the sunburst last year and totally love it! The vintage style pickups with the 5 way switch are great, and stainless steel frets along with that neck make it feel like your playing effortlessly. Yes, it was expensive, but it's ability to cover so many tones make it a bargain to me.

The bridge doesn't have a split coil mode. The 2 position is both pickups split fyi.

Hey Shane I really like Suhr guitars they are quality - on this one I agree the neck single coil sounded very thin and in tele like - also might have been good to get both slot coils on the middle position but I guess you’ll only likely to buy this for the humbuckers and this is where it really sounds great 👍🏻

Your least favorite pickup position is my favorite on my Alt T. Not for distortion, but for my clean with delay/chorus/reverb. The only thing I would change on it is the neck. Just slightly thinner, (not thin) would be perfect for me.

@@benallmark9671 The Suhr stuff is expensive. I wanted to showcase a good mix of the stuff I don't get to try here. Jerry's shop has all the cool higher-end stuff that I would never find locally.

Suhrs are really well made, but I ended up selling every one I have owned. I just don’t connect with them for some reason. Every time I pick up my Fender, Gibson, PRS, or Gretsch, I get excited. Those guitars just seem to connect to my soul. But I never felt that way with my Suhrs. I don’t know why.
@jamalabdul20092 жыл бұрын
How many did you own and what models? I’ve been thinking about getting a Suhr Tele and for the most part, I’ve heard nothing but praise for these guitars. I’d like to hear your experience with Suhr. Thanks!
@SDisonYT2 жыл бұрын
@@jamalabdul2009 I had a Suhr Classic Strat HSS and a thin line Tele similar to the one Shane has in this video, except mine had single coil pickups like a classic Tele. Both were built very well and beautiful. They sounded good too, I just never felt passionate about either one. They were almost sterile feeling to me if that makes any sense. Almost too refined and perfect, and not enough soul. I thought it was just the pickups, as they are highly engineered by Suhr to be perfect, but I think I think they were almost too refined sounding for me. Lol. So I replaced the pickups with some vintage Lindy Fralin and Lollars, and they helped quite a bit. But for some reason I still was just not drawn to play them as often as my other guitars. So I decided to let them go. But that’s probably just me and my personal connections. I know plenty of people that feel they are great. I would suggest finding a local dealer and playing them in person to see if it gives you goosebumps like other guitars do.
@jamalabdul20092 жыл бұрын
@@SDisonYT Hey really appreciate your insight! Yeah sometimes a guitar just doesn’t connect with you and there’s really nothing you can do about it. It must have been frustrating investing that money in a guitar just to have it not jell with you. At least it holds its value! Thanks!

I had an Ibanez AZ top of line. Looked good played amazing. Roasted maple neck stainless frets but yea like you I just didn’t connect, wasn’t use to playing something so light and easy to play and the modern high output hum buckers weren’t for me

I’m really interested in trying a Suhr and while this one has several tonal options, I’d stick to a pair of single coil pick ups. Outside of that, I like this guitar. I’m slowly losing my snobbery of non Fender guitars, especially the Telecaster models. 😂😎🎸🎸🎸🎸

Jamal, I own USA made Fender Strats and Teles. I also own a Suhr Classic S, Classic T and Alt T. The Suhrs blow my Fenders out of the water - much easier to play than the Fenders and they sound awesome. Also, Suhr's customer service is awesome - unlike Fender, they respond to quickly to customers and their quality control is top notch. Flawless builds.

If you play seated it probably doesn't matter much. For a 3 hour gig, I'd rather have a lightweight guitar, but it's all personal choice 😀

You might not like the price of these guitars but you won’t find them in a lefty anywhere else. He has them made for his store which means they no doubt cost more as they are special runs for him. If I compare the prices with the same guitars here some of his are far cheaper.
