Suicide is mental health where the person lacks capacity to make and understand rational decisions, mental health is still Taboo amongst most communities and even more so amongst Muslims. Euthanasia is clearly nuance, health decisions are personal which includes how one dies. Empathy dictates we should allow someone with capacity to make such a decision once all alternatives have been presented 👍🏼

My childhood friend committed suicide… I don’t know the circumstances leading up to it but I pray everyday that she did it due to some mental incapacity … God is merciful to those that don’t know any better… she was such a kind person 😓

Deep down I have always felt that a person who was genuinely depressed, etc and tried to keep going but eventually committed suicide would be forgiven by God. I would always make dua for someone who would die because of this reason.
