A decade ago or so I used to get really confused why there was so many metal nerds who talked so much shit on SS around the time this album was still kind of fresh, but being observant about it now, i think it might have to do with the fact that SS at the time were a fresh young new band coming out on Century Media (same label that put Grave and others on the map back in the day) and presented themselves with this absolutely amazing debut containing great unreasonably brutal songs combined with long (4-minute) atmospheric songs all wrapped up in some of the best production work an extreme metal album could have possibly had at the time dudes in Behemoth t-shirts who witnessed this record in 2007 were really bothered when they saw the rounds they were making all the while their mediocre Suffocation-wannabe bands which only had like 55 myspace friends played to like 20 people in the local bar every month. I can’t blame em, i’d be mad too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@Sergio-nb4hj That's not the same thing though. i get what you're saying, but it doesn't hold a lot of weight on its own.
