Gotta admit though, the first section of the boss with the fear gas was alright. Reminded me of the section in Arkham Knight where you’re playing as Joker in Batman’s mind and he spooks the Joker. Why’d they have to do Batman dirty in the actual fight though? Just a big, stationary target with three moves. Could’ve been more. Perhaps some sort of reverse situation with the Freeze fight in Arkham City. Maybe a fight where you gotta figure out Batman’s tricks and find small clues to see what he might do or where he may be while he learns from you as well so you can’t pull similar moves or tricks.

The Boss battle against Batman should’ve still been a “Dead by Daylight” type of fight. Then when they capture Batman I thought it would’ve been perfect that Harley takes the mask off of Batman before she shoots him, and you finally hear Bruce mumble “Alfred, Dick, Jason, Tim, Barbara……I broke my promise” Harley asks him to repeat that they didn’t hear him, Bruce says “Do It” , and then Bruce for a brief moment becomes lucid, and looks Harley straight in the eyes and says “Do it Quinn, just do it” She shoots him, and looks at the cowl in her hand, and says “Batman truly did have the last laugh in the end after all”

This boss battle could have been so much more considering it’s Arkham Batman I feel like it would have been better if they had to fight him in the Arkham prison and he was the real Batman and the lights would flicker on and off and you had to time it perfectly to make sure Batman doesn’t catch you or your squad then you would turn the generator on and finally see him and then you would have to fight him like how his Arkham knight version fought he would go in for attacks then swiftly go out and hide and he would throw batterangs at you and not have a health bar you just had to hope to do enough damage before he can turn the generator off

Would’ve been a lot cooler if it was a predator sequence from the Arkham games with the roles switched. The squad has to rely on sound cues and figure out where Batman is hiding or moving but they can’t stick together for too long or else he does a fear multi takedown on them. That’s initially what I thought the Batman fight would be, but nah, let’s just stand on the platform and shoot at the big enemy.

The batman boss fight should've been in a dark room. You already know what the batman does in the Arkham and you know how to beat him. Destroy the gargoyles, throw grandes to the vents and force batman to come out with a flash bang, then shoot at him or fight him 4v1, he throws a smoke grenade and tries to run away (end of 1st stage) now you're in another room. Watch out with detonating gel, outsmart the batman again and try to counter his approaches, once he's down, again, gang up on him. He's smarter but you're more. Would be cool if you could strategize between your 3 other friends to capture the batman or something like that

This is honestly a pretty bad Bossfight. Don’t get me wrong the spectacle of seeing the demon Batman is pretty cool. But if you think about this fight for even two seconds it makes no sense. The giant bat monster is just an illusion, so was Batman just standing there and willingly taking the bullets? Why didn’t he just run up and one-shot the entire squad like he did during their first encounter? How is he firing heat vision? For it to damage them there has to be something hitting them. Seeing as Arkham Batman has several gadgets that can disable guns, why didn’t he use any of those during the fight to immediately disarm all of his enemies? He’s in the Batcave so I find it hard to believe he couldn’t find a disruptor lying around. He even uses one early in the game to disable the lights in the museum. Batman‘s death was disrespectful, but in someways this was even worse because of portrayed Batman as an idiot who couldn’t defend himself even when he had a HomeCourt advantage

Damn haters! I actually enjoyed the jump scares this level provided. It actually freaked me out when I was playing it because I didn't know what to expect, until I got to the actual boss fight. So breakdown I got through the whole fear gas section 1st try, that's where all the jump scares are at for 1st playthrough. I noticed while doing so callbacks to the previous Arkham games when Batman flies down at you L2 then R1. Explosive gel you shoot, when Batman statues start to break, shoot (It's practically a shooter game!) plus the statue thing is a callback to Joker taking control of Batman's mind. Now the actual boss fight took me 3x, but still have little kids play that in the dark, I bet they freak the hell out!

The boss fight should have been more focused on not knowing his location where he's ambushing you constantly. Like maybe bc of how disorienting the fear toxin is, the fight makes you get jumped by a seemingly disappearing/teleporting Batman or the squad sees batman-shaped demons surrounding them and you have to try to guess which one is the real one before he ambushes one of them again leading to a lot of damage or getting trapped by one of his gadgets (likely shown more terrifyingly/hellosh bc toxin). In compensation, Bats could be less bullet spongy to account for the fact Batman isn't exactly known for being bulletproof, or maybe the effects of the toxin can be mitigated (i.e., Batman loses his illusions and can't disappear for a while) by turning on some sort of generator or bright light before he drops a smoke bomb to reset his phases. Maybe he adds in more gadgets as time goes on, batarangs looking like demonic bats swarms the players and incapacitates them for a bit, or he starts to seemingly zip around during the hallucinations phase but when you dispel the toxins he's just using the grappling hook and is actually shootable

I liked this fight because it took what Harley knows about the Batman, and the educational experience she's earned, and the exposure to scarecrow in Arkham Asylum that she was able to take the environment batman created to use it against himself, and as the fight starts even points out that he's literally just standing there so shoot him, afterword's she carrys him out of the batcave the same way Batman carried Harley in Arkham. A lot of this was indeed poetic to the past games.
