Suicide Squad concerns me because of the “live service” set up and what we saw looked like another floaty shooter we’ve seen in the genre. Even a bit Fortnite like in the gameplay. I hope it just isn’t presenting well because I have a lot of respect for Rocksteady and I’d hate for this to be their “Avengers”.

At first I was in the shooting, movements and melee seem flow well. Story has me intrigued the visuals are great. Then they started talking about the damn live service, RPG elements, Status effects heavy emphasis on co-op and builds (What the hell is a bane build) well I'll wait for Spiderman 2. Hard pass I'll just watch the cutscenes for the story online. I will not sift through copious amounts of bullsh*t to get the good stuff. I don't have time for that garbage.

@@enoo9003 Midnight sun's was a niche and it was leaked. It's not my cup of tea so I don't care. Rocksteady fanbase consisted mostly of people looking for a single-player action adventure experience. Doesn't matter if it's a shooter or melee game superheroes have diverse powers and abilities to create a unique experience each time. Batman and Spiderman are different from superman or flash and so forth. Just make a great game and people will bite look at gotham knights and it's mixed reception. The bullet spongy enemies the typical character classes I was finishing the sentences of the Devs it's a live service and we'll continue support blah blah it's tired we've done this dance it wasn't funny with avengers and it's certainly not funny now. RPG elements, loot, live services, multiplayer in superhero games is tired. Watch Spiderman 2 flatten this game, avengers and Gotham knights when it comes out.

I can’t say I’m fully confident in suicide squad but purely due to it actually trying smthn interesting/daring (a la the movement based combat) I’m more intrigued. I already kno what I’ll get with Spider-Man 2, shallow but cool looking combat, decent story and crappy open world activities. Guess this ain’t the yr of superhero games, at least the indies look amazing. Hades 2 and silksong will probably carry this year for gamers who are deep into the hobby, and maybe the elden ring dlc.

I was kinda hoping that the melee combat would be different at least, but I guess the inspired Sunset Overdrive shooting looks aight. Still I don't know how I'm supposed to feel about this game anymore. I used to be hype for the concept of this game, but after seeing this reveal and more news, I'm mixed and worry for its future. With the 2 co-founders that left Rocksteady after developing this game and this game taking a LAAS model, idk this game is lookin spooky. Making a successful LAAS is a rough challenge since if companies wants to get more money out of their fans, then they gotta provide us an addicting core gameplay, less grind n fair ways to new cosmetics, and banger content that can last for about at least 4 years or higher. Idk if Rocksteady can pull it off, but hopefully they prove us wrong and they can make Suicide Squad a fun LAAS game. Plus this is supposed to be Kevin Conroy's last performance as Batman and I don't want his last moment to end with this game being mediocre. I'll definitely get this game, especially if Deathstroke n other villains comes in, but I'm not wasting $60 or $70 for LAAS. I'll wait until I see how unbiased fans review this game and see if the sale price is worth it enough for purchase.

There is something that a lot of people are missing and it's it the title of the game. And this worries me. Out of the four heroes shown Batman, Superman, Green Lantern and Flash not one game play fight. It didn't have to be the full fight just enough to show off there is more to the game then shooting grunts, bullet sponges and purple pimples. What I'm getting at is the heroes look like they're only going to be used for cut scenes. Like really look at what was shown. The Flash doesn't stop the players from opening the container but going to kidnap Lex again. Either bad story telling or no hero fights.

For me, the game does look fun, but not enough to get me to play a game about a team that I've never been much of a fan of, even in the comics (I'm a comic geek for about 10 years now). If (and that's a big IF) those rumors that this game will reboot the Arkham continuity, then I'll probably watch the main story on youtube. This game is clearly geared towards multiplayer and live service, and since games where I live are very expensive (about five times their price in USA) I'm not really up for buying it just to play one aspect of the game and then leave it aside

It’s like walking into a job and noticing the HR that does nothing, there late on paying people, nepotism is rampant, and everyone is high as soon as you walk in the door at 7 am. Walking into the same thing over and over again expecting the same thing isn’t called “faith” it’s called insanity. And I could see this coming a mile away when they announced the concept for this game. As for the tanks in Arkham knight vs the tanks in SSKTJL, you are right, it was the overuse of the batmobile. But WHY did the batmobile feel overused? Because there were tanks everywhere. It’s not the concept itself that’s inherently bad. It’s the systems and game play loop you put in place that gamers will have to execute for the entire duration of the game that’s the problem. That’s what I’m referring to with the “tanks”. It’s that they clearly didn’t listen to feed back. People don’t want generic robotic no name enemies to just endlessly kill in there superhero/supervillain game. You kinda defeated your own argument there. As for the actual systems and gameplay, yeah, I just ain’t feeling it. And it’s not that I hate shooters. I’ve played destiny for 9 years. On and off mind you. But I’ve put in a good amount of time in there, more then I probably should. I just know how this goes, I know how this all turns out. We can come back here in 3 months and see who was right and who was wrong, but I know, and I think a lot of people know, that the systems we are seeing here do not instill confidence in a lot of people. The only issue I have with this game is the lack of melee combat. It has co-op story option (can be played solo) Avengers story was 100% single player. Open world looks visually stunning & imaginative. Avengers was 95% inside bland AIM buildings. This has a plethora of bosses - Avengers had a serious lack of bosses Avengers had a lot of problems but it's combat & gameplay was not one of them.

My biggest concern is the gear. I hate when games have a gear system. I’d much rather get XP for a skill tree when defeating enemies than to get random gear drops for an impossibly complicated and unnecessary gear system. It’s too clunky and makes it feel like an impossible feat to get a character to full power.

Hard pass for me lol Hogwarts Legacy has all my time and that’s if I barely get to hop in and get lost and immersed in. Look there might be some fun here I believe in Rocksteady as a studio the Arkham games and City more specifically is my all time fav video game. I’m sorry but this game doesn’t look day one $101 CAD worthy AT ALL! No disrespect to the devs but this vision seems so odd to me. I hope it’s a good fun game and flows well. I’m tired of multiplayer games and this doesn’t strike me as being special and worth my time and money in this economy. Maybe a Christmas sale game at best (if the servers are even holding up by then). The love service aspect and it being The Suicide Squad is meh. Give us a fucking Justice League game please 🥲🤞🏽

Live-service games are on a decline. I genuinely don't understand why they went this route. Marvel's Avengers also said that only cosmetics would be behind a paywall. Avengers were beloved characters , but they still failed. I'm afraid this might not make it
