About this Webinar:
Suicidality and self-harm often co-occur with eating disorders. Families are on the front lines of their loved one's eating disorder recovery journey. Yet, they often are not provided with education and skills for supporting their loved one as related to suicidality and self-harm. In this workshop families and other attendees are provided with education around identifying and responding to suicidality and self-harm behaviors in individuals with eating disorders. The presenters take attendees on a journey into the suicidal mind, so that families will better understand their loved one's experience. Methods of assessment, risk-level designation and intervention are reviewed. Most importantly, families are provided with skills to respond to their loved ones and leave this webinar with a renewed sense of competence, confidence, and hope in supporting those with co-occurring suicidality, self-harm, and eating disorders.
